Darryl & Kenny (Part 16 - Mum 2)

“Ah boy… Ah boy… Wake up… Mummy cooked some porridge for breakfast…”

“Morning, Mummy… What time is it now?”

“Morning… It’s 9am… Kenny asked me to wake you up so you can have your breakfast and medication…”

“He left for work already?”

“Silly… If he hasn’t, he be late for work… Quick wake up… I help you to wash up…”

“Erm….No need la… I can do it myself... Just need to walk slowly only… Anyway the doctor also asks me to exercise a bit…”

“You sure?”

“Yup…. I will call you if I need your help…”

“OK… Then mummy goes get the porridge ready for you…”

“Thanks Mum…”

So Darryl went to the wash up and change before heading to the dining room with food already on the table waiting… Mum was busy squeezing oranges to make fresh orange juice... He told her to just get it from the supermarket and save all the trouble of squeezing orange but Mum insisted to do her way… Darryl let out a smile and enjoys his porridge… Just then, he remembers what Kenny mentioned last night about his mum knowing about them… Darryl is contemplating whether or not to speak to her about it but he finally decided not to jeopardize the situation further and just keep quiet until the time when mum initiate the conversation…

So the day went by without nothing much to do beside watching TV and his mum helping with the household chores…Soon it was already dinner time, Mum cooked dinner and Kenny is home just nice to have dinner with them… After dinner, Kenny send Mum home while Darryl sit in the living room watching TV…

It was almost 11pm before Kenny reached home…

Darryl: “I was just about to report police that my wife is missing…”
Kenny: “Silly… I just went to supermarket with your mum and get some stuff she need for to take care of you so she need not need to carry with her everyday… And also I ask her to pack a change of clothes so I can put it here in case she need a case of clothes while taking care of the big baby…”
Darryl: “Wow… What a good daughter-in-law”
Kenny: “Not that… Just don’t want her to carry so much things everyday… At least I stock up for her first…Easier for her too…”
Darryl: “True… But I still expect you to take care of me for the rest of my life hor…”
Kenny: “What make you so sure that we will still be together next year this time…?”
Darryl: “Because I will do all I can to love you and be there for you…”
Kenny: “I know…”
Darryl: “But first I need a favour…”
Kenny: “What?”
Darryl: “I haven’t showered…”
Kenny: “OK let’s go… I need a shower too… Tomorrow I will tell your mum to shower you…”
Darryl: “NO!!!!!.... Don’t do that to me…”
Kenny: “She is your mother… She has already seen what she need to see so she can showered you”
Darryl: “Don’t want! Don’t want! I want my wife… I want my wife….”
Kenny: “Stop being a baby… Let go shower now… It’s late already… Tomorrow I need to work in order to feed you…”
Darryl: “Wah…. Say until like that…”
Kenny: “Anyway, did you talk to your mum today?”
Darryl: “Nope”
Kenny: “Why?”
Darryl: “Because she seems ok…”
Kenny: “So?”
Darryl: “So I just feel maybe it good that we don’t talk about it anymore…”
Kenny: “But you promise…”
Darryl: “Yes I did but I just don’t want to create more problem for us in the future…”
Kenny: “What do you mean?”
Darryl: “You see if I start talking to her about us… She will want to know more about how we started, when we started etc and I feel that the more information I am going to give her will mean that she know more about us…”
Kenny: “And why is that a bad thing?”
Darryl: “I just don’t feel right telling her all the details at this point of time…Although she says she is ok with us… It doesn’t mean she is totally acceptable what is happening… I just feel that if she is not going to initiate a conversation then we should just leave it as it is until she is really ready to know more… Too much information in too short of a time is not beneficial to us and her…I would rather take it slowly and talk to her when she is more ready… In fact, I am waiting for her to bring the topic up but she didn’t…”
Kenny: “Then you should talk to her…”
Darryl: “Let how… Mum, sit down and let talk about me and Kenny… It not possible right… If she is willingly to talk, I can talk to her anytime… But I don’t her to see it as me forcing her to accept her son is gay and the reason he move out is so that he can be with his lover and not with his parents…”
Kenny: “But… I feel….”
Darryl: “I know how you feel but put yourself in my position… If now it is your mum, what will you do? I am not running away from my promise to you but I just want sometime to think this through and how to approach it so as to not risk our relationship… I promise you I will talk to her and I will…”
Kenny: “OK… Then you better rest early…”
Darryl: “Hey… I haven’t shower!”
Kenny: “Ooops… I forgot… OK let go get you shower up and sleep…Sorry…”
Darryl: “I want more than clean clean…”
Kenny: “Notti….”
Darryl: “Hahahah…”
