Darryl & Kenny (Part15 - Mum 1)

Today, Darryl will be discharging after 2 long weeks stay in the hospital. Darryl parent and Kenny were there to help with his discharge. Darryl needs to start his physiotherapy session in 3 days time and loads of medication to bring home… Darryl’s mum suggested that he move back temporary so that she can take care of him but Darryl rejected the idea. But compromise on giving his parents his house key so they can come and take care of him while Kenny is off to work…

When home, Kenny helped Darryl onto bed before heading out to buy lunch. Darryl was asleep by the time Kenny was home… Kenny checked on him and woken Darryl up..

Kenny: “Sorry… Did I wake you up?”
Darryl: “No… Am already up… Just lazy to sit up…”
Kenny: “Hungry?”
Darryl: “Not really? Dear…”
Kenny: “Yup…”
Darryl: “Have you heard from Kelvin?”
Kenny: “Nope… but I heard from Zac that he went on a holiday alone… I think maybe it good for him to do so…”
Darryl: “I wonder will I see him again…”
Kenny: “I am sure things will be back to normal soon… Who knows maybe he’s having a good time now with different guys…”
Darryl: “You really think so…”
Kenny: “I don’t know… Just don’t know what to say…”
Darryl: “Hahaha… Funny…”
Kenny: “Hey, don’t think so much about it… Things will be fine… Just give him sometime to think about what he want to do and I am sure once he figure it out, all will be fine… ok?”
Darryl: “OK…”
Kenny: “Just remember that there are some things you cannot control about… If he choose to avoid you, then what can you do?”
Darryl: “I know but I don’t want to lose him as a friend…
Kenny: “I know but what most important now is for you to get well… Anyway, I have called your office for you and inform them that you have discharge and will be on medical leave for the next 3 weeks till review…”
Darryl: “Thanks, Dear…”
Kenny: “Silly… We are together and it my duty to take care of you… You take a rest… I called you when dinner is ready…”
Darryl: “You cooking?!”
Kenny: “Yes… Any problem?”
Darryl: “Nope… Just feel so love…”
Kenny: “You will feel more love tomorrow when your mum is here…”
Darryl: “OMG!!!... Why do I agree to her request?”
Kenny: “Because you only have 2 option given by her… You rejected staying with her so you basically left with only one option…”
Darryl: “Dear, can you help me to the shower? I want to take a shower…”
Kenny: “Need me to shower you?”
Darryl: “Will you do that?”
Kenny: “Of course… Anyway your mother will shower you tomorrow…”
Darryl: “NO WAY!!!...”
Kenny: “Hahahaha… What she haven’t seen before…”
Darryl: “She never see my erection and how big it has grown since young…”
Kenny: “Big???”
Darryl: “Yes… Big!!!”
Kenny: “Ok ok… As long as you happy with the thought…Just hope you won’t have an erection when she showered you tomorrow…”
Darryl: “I will not let her showered me for sure… I will give my wife the honour…”
Kenny: “Provided I want the honour…”
Darryl: “Hey!!!...”
Kenny: “Yes…. How can I helps chew?”
Darryl: “Annoying…”
Kenny: “Ok ok… Let go showered…. And then I need to cook dinner…”

So Kenny help Darryl showered and then was cooking dinner when the doorbell ring… It was Darryl’s parent…

Kenny: “Uncle! Auntie! What a surprise?”
Mum: “We were at the supermarket so decided to buy some food to put it here so tomorrow I no need to carry around with me…”
Kenny: “You should have just told me what you need… I can get it for you…”
Mum: “It’s ok… I also don’t know what I need until I am at the supermarket… Hahaha… How’s ah boy?”
Kenny: “He is resting in the bedroom… Come let me help you to put the stuff into the fridge… You go ahead to see him in the room… I am cooking dinner for him as well…”
Mum: “Daddy, why not you go inside and see ah boy first… I help Kenny with the cooking.”
Kenny: “Auntie, I can handle it myself… Are you all staying for dinner?”
Mum: “Can we? Would it too much trouble?”
Kenny: “Not at all…”
Mum: “You are such a sweet boy…Ah boy is so lucky to be with you…”
Kenny: “What!!! How…”
Mum: “Mother instinct? Auntie may not study but I am not that stupid also… But cannot let his father know… He will disown him for sure… For me, I just happy as long as ah boy is happy…”
Kenny: “I’m sorry, Auntie…”
Mum: “Why sorry? Auntie is not blaming you at all… I can tell Ah boy is really happy being with you… I can’t say I am not disappointed at all but what can a mother ask for besides having her son being happy for the rest of his life… I am old liao and I cannot take care of him forever… So as long as he is happy, auntie cannot ask for more already…”
Kenny: “Auntie, i….”
Mum: “I go see Ah boy first… Later auntie come help you and cook something together first time as family… Hahahah”

After the dinner, Kenny sat in the room and started crying. Darryl was shocked by his tears until Kenny told him what happen.

Darryl: “Mum knew?”
Kenny: “Yup… And I can see the disappointment in her eyes even though she keep telling me she is happy as long as your are happy but her eyes said something different… I feel so bad… It like I broken her dream of having a grandchildren… I…”
Darryl: “It has nothing to do with you… I am the one breaking her heart… What else did she say?”
Kenny: “Not to tell your father about it because she know your father will not accept it and may even disown you…”
Darryl: “I think he will sure do it…”
Kenny: “I should have denied everything just now but I was so caught by surprise that I jus not sure how to react… Maybe if I deny, she will be even happier than having forcing herself to accept it… To make thing worst, she have to keep this a secret from your father, her husband… I feel so stupid…”
Darryl: “Dear, it not your fault… Stop blaming yourself… Maybe she is genuinely happy for both of us… Maybe she is just tired… I will talk to her tomorrow when she is here… Let me talk to her…”
Kenny: “You think it a good idea…”
Darryl: “I don’t know but I need to know how she feels about us… Stop blaming yourself…”
