Kenny was kind of relieve that the walk is finally over, he can put down the bouquet and just enjoy the dinner … But then, the worst is yet to come… When they were being shown to the seat, Kenny realized that Darryl ahs actually requested the restaurant to condone off a corner and specially decorated just for both of them… Kenny was totally blushing and embarrassing by Darryl’s action…
“Do you have to do that?” Kenny whispered softly to Darryl. Darryl made no response to it but just give him a wink…
The waiter sat them at their table and Kenny immediately looks up to Darryl and gives him a “What is going on?” look. Darryl got the hint and tell Kenny that it has been a long while since they actually come out in the public to have a nice decent dinner though it may seem as a bit over doing it but he just want Kenny to feel special as Kenny has put in and done so much for him over the months. He could not really think of a better way to thank Kenny besides giving him the pamper he deserved. Kenny was touched by what Darryl said but still he feel that something else is up Darryl sleeve…
Kenny: ‘So anything else beside this?”
Darryl: “What? Just a dinner…”
Kenny: “Sure?”
Darryl: “Yes…”
Kenny: “You should know by now, I am very sensitive to certain things”
Darryl: “I know…”
Kenny: “So…”
Darryl: “Nothing… Let just have the dinner ok and then after that let’s make some love…Hahahah”
Kenny: “You and your nonsense…”
Darryl: “But I want….” Giving Kenny the pouting look
Kenny: “Where got people so straight forward one? Spoil the mood… Now I no mood liao… Guess I am going to have dinner then head home and sleep”
Darryl: “Hey, don’t left me hanging hor…”
Kenny: “Too bad…”
Darryl: “Evil…”
Kenny: “I am so hungry… How come the waiter not here yet for ordering?”
Darryl: “Oh that… I have already order the food and it will be served shortly…”
Within minutes, the soup was served… While they are having their soup, Kenny bring up the topic on the sale of car…
Kenny: “Dear, why suddenly you mentioned you want to sell off the car?”
Darryl: “Well, I just started thinking that do I really need a car to get me from point to point… I did some simple calculation myself that even if I going to travel by cab everyday to and fro work, my monthly transport expense will be half of what I pay for to service the car… So it make good sense to sell off one car… Moreover, I can just use your car if I really need it…”
Kenny: “It does make sense but you are the one who suggested I get a car for myself as it will be more convenient for both of us, right?”
Darryl: “That was then… Though our income both can support the monthly installment but I just don’t want to be a car slave anymore… You know if I sell of my car now… I can save up to $7000 a year and use the money to go travelling with you… And it make total economic sense right?”
Kenny: “Agreed and I guess you have really thought it through about this… Just don’t complain in near future that public transport sucks…”
Darryl: “Well, I don’t think I will spend lots of time on public anyway.. I got u as my free chauffer to drive me around most time…”
Kenny: “Hey hey…. Since when I promise, I will drive you around… I very busy one ok…”
Darryl: “No need to promise… You love me so unconditionally so I am sure you will do that…”
Kenny: “Ya Ya…”
Darryl: “Love you…”
Kenny: “Love you too…”
Darryl: “Oh about the trip, I am thinking maybe we can see whether Kelvin and his boyfriend will want to go together… It will be fun to have more company…”
Kenny: “Which trip you talking about?”
Darryl: “Australia trip… I want to keep the France trip for the both of us.... I was wondering whether we can still make it for the Mardi Gras…”
Kenny: “Erm… Now it already April…. So I guess we missed to Mardi Gras already…”
Darryl: “Oh is it? Thought we can still make it for it… Anyway, I am thinking of travelling in groups for Australia will be fun and then just the 2 of us in the country of love... What do you think?”
Kenny: “I think we need to check with Kelvin first whether he is available or when he is available… Then we decide on how to work thing out”
Darryl: “Ok, will give him a buzz later and I am thinking of upgrading my flat…”
Kenny: “OK… Wait!!! What is actually going on here? First the car now the flat… You are going too fast… I mean we have not even settle on the car part and now you already talking about the flat?”
Darryl: “No… I actually wanted this to be a surprise for you way before Robin passed away… I have actually been looking at some places with Robin actually…”
Kenny: “Robin? How come I don’t know about it?”
Darryl: “It meant to be a surprise…I have been thinking to upgrade to an studio apartment which you have known all the while for as a place for both of us…”
Kenny: “But we already have the flat right…”
Darryl: “It not the same… The flat is still under my parents… I wanted something for both of us… Our home…”
Kenny: “I know but have you really think about it through? This is not a game… This is a big investment…”
Darryl: “I know and I just want to make you happy…”
Kenny: “Dear, I am happy as long as you are with me…I don’t need big house, I don’t need big car, and I don’t need all these material stuff… I just need you to be with me… I mean if you want to buy a house for investment purpose, I will not stop you but then I want you to think it through and carefully before making the decision… Don’t buy it for me… Because I don’t need it this, I just want you… Do you understand?”
Darryl: “I know… That why I am so happy that we are together and I am so lucky to have you as my partner…”
Kenny: “Let take thing a step at a time… Sort out the car first and then let go for a trip to relax and then we talk about this again, ok?”
Darryl: “OK… I love you so much…”
Kenny: “Me too…”
Darryl: “I feel so…”
Just then the waiter came to serve them dinner… Kenny look at Darryl and hold on to his hand in front of the waiter…
“Let just enjoy this night and have fun ok… Don’t think about the car, trip or even the house… Just you and me… And let start it all over again just like when we are on first date…” Darryl nodded and Kenny lean forward and give him a kiss on his lip…
“I think the waiter was disgusted by our PDA… Hahaha” They both laughed and it the start of a fun filled evening between the 2 of them all over again…
