Darryl & Kenny (Part 8 - The Meetup)

They arrived at the Goodwood Park Hotel for a nice brunch and at the same time meet up with the interior designer, Mark. He was quite shocked by the number of people around but he proceeds with the designer concept and plans.

Darryl was not very happy with his concept and the visual of the drawing didn’t really excite him a single bit… The living room is dull yellow and the dinner room is in dull orange… And his master room is in dark grey… The colour scheme just didn’t gel together… And all the framework of the house still remains as it is without any changes to it…

Darryl: “Stop right there, Mark…”
Mark: “Yup… Is there something wrong?”
Darryl: “Everything is wrong! I have specifically told you what is required from you… I want to knock down some space to create a bigger space for the house but then I see nothing of that in your drawing… And the colour scheme is horrible… Dull yellow and orange? What was that all about?”
Mark: “Let me explain… I am trying to create a connection to the room… but just using different colour and furniture to visually enlarge the space without really knocking or tearing down anything… It will be more economic and also simpler for you guys… I am using the colour to give a sunset look to your room…”
Darryl: “But that is not my discussion with you and when we first have our discussion, you did not mention anything of such idea you are having… You even take time to come over to my place to do measurement of the existing space… So why change? I totally am not getting your idea. I do understand the economic part but this is horrible with a capital H!”
Kenny: “Dear, it not that bad…”
Darryl: “Are you kidding with this, Dear? This is horrible…” He looked over at Kelvin and Zac. Both of them nodded in unison… “Would you guys want to live in this?” Both shook their head…
Kenny: “Dear… You are losing your temper…”
Darryl: “I am not but this drawing is totally unacceptable by me… It’s totally different from what I have visualized or we have spoken previously… I mean you were there with me and I don’t remember give him colour scheme and specifically tell him what I want so I don’t understand what this drawing is all about… It just a change of colour and refurnishing the house with no hint of any enlargement of the space…”
Kenny: “ I know… So why not give him another chance?”
Darryl: “That’s what I am going to do but I haven’t got a chance to say it yet… Mark, do you still remember the concept I give you the other day…”
Mark: “Yes…”
Darryl: “When can u give a new drawing with the concept that I have told you about?”
Mark: “Erm…. “
Darryl: “1 week?”
Mark: “1 week shall be…”
Darryl: “Mark, I am not being unreasonable or nasty… But seriously, don’t give something like that that next time I see you… I apologized if I have offended you in anyway…”
Mark: “No worry about it… Am not offended but am glad that you give me another chance…”
Darryl: “So I will be expecting your call soon…”
Mark: “Definitely…”

After the meeting with Mark, the four of them decided to head to Sentosa for some sun and beach volleyball… But things just never go their way… The moment they enter Sentosa, it started raining… So they sat in the car hoping for the rain to be over soon…

Darryl: “Guys, maybe we should have Plan B just in case the rain doesn’t stop…”
Zac: “We can head back home and watch porn together… Hahaha”
Kelvin: “What a great idea!”
Darryl: “I totally agree too… But I think live show will be more exciting… I know… I know… Zac and Kelvin to act while Kenny and myself do the watching and maybe filming… What you think, Dear?”
Kenny: “I totally having a hard on with the thought of it… Hahaha”
Kelvin: “I am ok with the idea too…”
Zac: “Erm, you really want to do it in front of them?”
Kelvin: “Don’t think it much a problem for me…”
Darryl: “Kelvin is so sporty lor… Don’t tell me you saying for fun…”
Zac: “Erm….”
Kenny: “What a spoilt sport… Just when all of us are getting all high and horny… What a turn off…”
Zac: “Erm… I…”
Darryl: “Say no more… The rain has stopped… Let continue with our plan… Spoil sport…”
Zac: “OK OK!!! Let do it later when we are home… Nothing to lose anyway…”
Kelvin: “I have lost interest already…”
Darryl: “Me too”
Kenny: “Me three…”
Zac: “You guys are just teasing me!!! Hateful!”
Kelvin: “You really think I am going to give them free show… OMG! What you thinking? Exhibitionist!...”
Zac: “Hateful people…”
Darryl: “Let get going and enjoy the breeze and balls… Hahaha”

And off they went to spend the afternoon on the beach for some new tan and just chill on the beach side bar… By the time, they left the place; all of them have a new tan on them… They headed out to Takashimaya for dinner and then to Tantric for a drink before they head home separately…

Darryl received a call from Mum to inform him that there will be a new addition to their family soon as eldest sister is pregnant… Darryl was ecstatic about the news though he already has a pair of niece and nephew from 2nd sister but then having a new life in the family is always a happy feeling…

Kenny: “Congratulation!!!”
Darryl: “Hahaha… Not me having the baby…”
Kenny: “But can tell that you are really happy…”
Darryl: “Don’t know maybe there is too much negativity lately that this news just perked me up…”
Kenny: “Hahaha… I can totally tell…”
Darryl: “So Mrs Tay, when are we going to try for a baby?”
Kenny: “We can try everyday but u know I will never get pregnant…”
Darryl: “Wooo… Everyday!!! Coolness… I never say want to get you pregnant… Just like the process only… Wahahaha…”
Kenny: “Irritating…”
Darryl: “So shall we head back now and try for one…”
Kenny: “We shall see…”
Darryl: “Don’t care… Am so going to do it later…”
Kenny: “Feel free to do it yourself…”
Darryl: “I know you will not let me do it myself one… Hahaha… It need 2 people to try for a baby… And I am so sure that you will be involve in the process…Hahaha”
Kenny: ‘IRRITATING!”
Darryl: “Hahahaha….”

Darryl & Kenny (Part 7 - Guilt)

Over the next few days, Darryl and Kenny were relatively busy for the next few days trying to work out details with Kelvin and Zac on their Australia trip… Kelvin and Zac actually stay over the weekend to discuss more on their itinerary… Finally all has been settled and the trip is fixed in end of June to coincide with Darryl’s birthday.

The four of them then head out to Taboo for a guy night out to just chill and relax… They actually have a hard time deciding who is driving and whose car to use… But in the end, all decided to just go on public so in case they get too high to drive back… They are all laughing on how silly they are for not thinking having that option in mind. After hoping into the cab, Darryl actually makes small talk with the taxi driver which provided a good laugh to all of them….

After they got of the cab, all of them couldn’t help it but continue to laugh out loud…

Kenny: “OMG! Too much sexual information provided by the cab driver…”
Darryl: “What?! He is the one disclosing it… I didn’t do anything…”
Kelvin: “Ya right!... You are the one keep asking him all the questions….”
Darryl: “To keep you guys entertain throughout the trip…”
Kenny: “OMG!!! Cannot believe I just hear an uncle sexual preference and how he do it…”
Zac: “But it was a really a fun ride… And in case, anyone of you decided to switch path… You will know where and what to do…”
Darryl: “Wait… Why is it anyone of you?”
Zac: “Because for sure, I will not switch… Hahaha… Cannot live without cocks… Hahaha”
Kelvin: “OK… Too much information… Let’s go have some fun…”

So all of them went into the clubs and have a wild night….All of them got kind of tipsy and high… They were dancing and tops were being taken off… Bodies were rubbing together… There is definitely sexual tension on the dance floor… Attention seekers were dancing on the platform and drinks were being served… Chaotic but fun…

Darryl excused himself to go to the gents… While he was standing at the urinal, a guy come next to him and stand stroking himself… His actions caught Darryl’s attention… Darryl looks at him and give him a smile… The lighting were kind of dim but from the dim light granted, this guy can classified as above average in look and physique… He flashed a grin at Darryl… Darryl got himself zipped up and suddenly a naughty thought came into his mind… Darryl walked into the toilet cubicle… And next thing he know, the guy follow behind him and shut the door… Sexual tension was building up in the small cubicle… And the guy leaned forward and give Darryl wet kisses… Darryl was surprised but he reciprocates… The guy’s hand started to move about Darryl body and his hand move down to Darryl raging hard on and he tried to unzip Darryl pants… Just then Darryl heard Kenny calling out for him; he pushed the guy hand off…

“Shit Shit!!!!... My boyfriend is outside….”

“And you are inside so why worry… Come on don’t panic… My boyfriend is outside too” The guy lean forward to touch Darryl again but this time round, Darryl pushed him away…

“Sorry… I can’t do it… Got to go… Thanks anyway…” With that Darryl went out of the cubicle and head back to the dance floor to join the rest….

Kenny: “Where have you been?”
Darryl: “Erm… I…. I saw a friend and we headed to the back alley for smoke…”
Kenny: “I went to look for you but I can’t find you…”
Darryl: “Erm… We walked out a bit because it was quite crowded so we went further a bit so we can chat…”
Kenny: “OK… I was just worry you throw up or something…”
Darryl: “I am fine… Don’t worry… Come let’s dance…”

The night went ahead but Darryl was filled with guilt of what he had done… The urge of telling the truth is so strong but yet each time, he held back… After the club, they went to had supper at the nearby Maxwell market… Kenny sensed something not right with Darryl after his toilet break but he decided not to ask anything as he suspect that Darryl might be missing Robin again as the last time they were there was with Robin… After the supper, they went back to Darryl’s place to rest…

Back in the bedroom…

Kenny: “Dear, are you ok?”
Darryl: “Erm… Yup… Why?”
Kenny: “You seems kind of moody during the later part of the night…”
Darryl: “Erm… I guess am just tired... It’s been so long since we party that late… So maybe age is catching up… Plus so much drinking…”
Kenny: “Yup… Crazy night for all of us…”
Darryl: “Yup… Crazy… Better go to bed already… Tomorrow, we need to meet up with the interior designer for the framework of the renovation…”
Kenny: “12noon right?”
Darryl: “Yes… And I am thinking whether to hit the gym before that…”
Kenny: ‘Well… Just go to bed and see how when we wake up…”
Darryl: “Yup… Night love…”
Kenny: “Night…”

The next morning, Darryl find Kelvin sitting at the balcony when he wake up… He seated next to him with a cup of tea…

Darryl: “Hey… You are up early…”
Kelvin: “Well, my automatic clock in me just wake me up automatically…”
Darryl: “I see…”
Kelvin: “So why are you up so early?”
Darryl: “Was thinking of hitting the gym before meeting the interior designer later…”
Kelvin: “Oh yea… We are going together right?”
Darryl: ‘If you don’t mind, would really need some opinion…”
Kelvin: “No problem, we have already vacant the weekend for you…”
Darryl: “So sweet of you…”
Kelvin: “Hey, what have you have last night at the club?”
Darryl: “Huh?! What you mean?” Darryl was shocked by the question
Kelvin: “Buddy, I can tell from your eyes that you are hiding something from Kenny”
Darryl: “Erm…”
Kelvin: “OK… No need to tell me… I know what happen already…”
Darryl: “You do?”
Kelvin: “What I can tell you is don’t let temptation and cheap thrills get the better of you and ruin everything you have with Kenny… It just cheap thrill and definitely not worth what you have build up with Kenny so far…”
Darryl: “How….”
Kelvin: “How can I tell? It’s not that difficult to tell, u know?… from the uncertainty in your answer and also your change of mood…”
Darryl: “You think….”
Kelvin: “Kenny can sense the same? I don’t think so… I think he is more worry about you missing Robin after the last episode during Lionel wedding and also how he tells me the last time you guys went Tab is with Robin… In fact, he kind of think it is fault of your mood swing…”
Darryl: “I feel even worst now… Maybe I should tell him the truth…”
Kelvin: “I cannot tell you what you should or should not do… Just think it carefully and not do it impulsively, alright?”
Darryl: “I know what you mean…”
Kelvin: “Let go wake them up and go for some food… I am starving…”
Darryl: “OK”

Darryl & Kenny (Part 6 - Missing Robin?)

Darryl woke up and found himself lying on the bed. He saw Kenny, Kelvin, Zac and even Lionel.

Kenny: "Are you ok, dear?”
Darryl: “Where am I?”
Lionel: You are in my hotel room… I figure it easier for us to get you here then send you to the hospital after all I am a doctor…”
Darryl: “Erm, I am so sorry to spoil the dinner for you…”
Lionel: “Hey, don’t say that… I am glad that you are awake… I am worried sick…”
Darryl: “You better go and attend to your guests… I feel so bad to have you attending to me…”
Lionel: “Don’t say that… Though it’s my wedding, I’m still a doctor by profession so I cannot let anything happen to you…”
Kenny: “ Lionel, I think you better go attend to the rest of the guest… We will head down shortly when he is feeling better…”
Lionel: “OK… I see you guys in a while…”
Kenny: “Kel, you should go down and enjoy the dinner as well… I stay here with him and we see you in a while later…”
Kelvin: “OK…”

Within seconds, all of them went out of the room and left only Darryl and Kenny…

Kenny: “Are you doing ok?”
Darryl: “Yup…”
Kenny: “Want to talk about it? I can sense something is not right…”
Darryl: “I just can’t hide anything from you huh…”
Kenny: “Well, I think you need to try harder then… It’s not so easy to do so if you understand what I mean… So I am waiting…”
Darryl: “This may sound ridiculous to you…”
Kenny: “I’ll be the judge to that…”
Darryl: “I saw Robin standing at the entrance of the function room after I finish singing…”
Kenny: “You saw?”
Darryl: “I don’t know what is what but after I finish singing voice shouting “Encore, Encore” and when I turned to that direction, Robin was standing there clapping and shouting… He even gives me the thumb up and applause me generously… Then I look at you trying to signal to you to look at that direction but soon he disappeared and the next thing I know, I am lying here… Dear, do you think Robin was really here watching me sing”
Kenny: “I don’t know but I do know he will always be here in you…” Kenny put his hand on Darryl’s heart…
Darryl: “I miss him…”
Kenny: “Me too…”
Darryl: “I am so worried that he will be gone in my life forever…”
Kenny: “It will never happen as long as you don’t forget him… All the memories you have with him will be here to stay for a long time… Don’t think it this way… Physically he may no longer be with us but everything else about him will be here with us…”
Darryl: “Everything that happens just now seems so real…”
Kenny: “I am no psychiatrist but I think it could be due to you really wanted him to be here to witness the love of the couple… Dear, I think maybe you are ready to seek professional help on this and maybe they can answer and give you a better study of what is all these visions that you see… it would be much better than us sitting here or at home wondering and pondering over such things that we can never explain”
Darryl: “I guess you are right…”
Kenny: “We can actually ask Lionel for some recommendation…”
Darryl: “OK…”
Kenny: “Why don’t you rest a little longer before we head down to join the rest?”
Darryl: “Nope let’s go and say goodbye to the rest… I think I just want to go home and rest…”
Kenny: “OK…”

When they are heading down, they saw Lionel coming up…

Lionel: “Hey… Heading down?”
Darryl: “Yup, I thinking maybe I should go back and rest…”
Lionel: “Yup, I think you should…”
Darryl: “Sorry again that I caused so much trouble tonight…”
Lionel: “You have given me the best gift ever to sing at my wedding… Hopefully it didn’t really stress you out that caused you to faint...”
Kenny: “It’s not that… Anyway, we will see you when you back from your honeymoon?”
Lionel: “About that… I only able to go honeymoon in 3 months time… I am heading back to work after 2 days of leave… That’s the life of a doctor…”
Darryl: “OK… Then maybe we got the perfect gift for you…”
Kenny: “Are you talking about…”
Darryl: “Yup…”
Kenny: “Good idea…”
Lionel: “What is it? How come I don’t understand a single word you guys are talking?”
Darryl: “You will know soon…”
Lionel: “Tell me!”
Kenny: “When the time is ready… you will know…”
Lionel: “Fine…”
Darryl: “I think we better get going already… Sorry again for the trouble…”
Lionel: “Can you stop him from apologizing? I am not angry…”
Kenny: “OK… Stop apologizing! Bad boy!”
Darryl: “Hahaha… Enjoy your baby making session later…”
Lionel: “Hahaha… Long started liao… Just after tonight got license to do it without pro….”
Kenny: “Ok… Stop there… Too much information… I rather look at live show… So will I be on invitation for the show… Hahahah”
Lionel: “Hmmm… That shall depend… Hahaha”
Darryl: “Gosh… All doctors are exhibitionists….”
Lionel: “Not all… only me… Wahahaha…”
Darryl: “OK OK… Enough talking already… You better go back to your wife else she may think we abducted you… Hahaha”
Lionel: “She is the one who ask me to check on you...”
Darryl: “Help me to thank her…”
Lionel: “I sure will…”
Kenny: “Dear, I think we should do it ourselves…”
Darryl: “You are right… Let go and say goodbye to them…”

And all of them headed down to the dinner area and both of them bid goodbye to their friends and headed home…

On their way home, they decided to use their business class tickets to France and change it into 4 economics ticket and give 2 of them to Lionel for their honeymoon… So the next day, they contact SIA to get the change done and inform Lionel about it… Lionel was ecstatic about the gift… They meet up and passed the tickets to Lionel…

Darryl & Kenny (Part 5 - Dinner)

When they arrived at the dinner venue, they realized that it was a themed wedding… They feel so out of place with their dressing… Everyone was so glamorously dressed… Darryl saw Kelvin and waved at him…

Darryl: “Hey buddy.”
Kelvin: “Long time no see… You look fantastic…”
Kenny: “And I look haggard…”
Kelvin: “Hahaha… No lar… You look great as well…”
Kenny: “OK… Only great… Never mind…”
Kelvin: “Hey… stop being a bitch… You know what I mean…”
Kenny: “Hahaha… I know la... Just teasing only…”
Darryl: “Do you think we are under-dressed? We are like the only one in jeans while other are like attending prom night… There are even guys in 3 piece suits…”
Kelvin: “Hahaha… I notice it too… And I didn’t even realize it is a themed wedding until I arrived…”
Darryl: “We are just as bad… Hahaha”
Kelvin: ‘But you guys always got style on lor… Always so matching in your dressing… So envy…”
Kenny: ‘You can too… By the way, where’s Zac?”
Kelvin: “In the washroom I guess… Need to touch up touch up a bit… Hahaha. Anyway, I have check with Lionel… He said it more than ok for us to dress in jeans…. So we are all safe but Zac on the other hand…”
Darryl: “Why?”
Kelvin: “He is in sleeveless shirt and jeans…Like a Chippendale Dancer… Hahaha! You will what I mean when you see him… There he is…”
Zac: “Are you guys talking about me?”
Darryl: “Oh no… Kelvin was just telling us how you turn him on… Hahahaha”
Zac: “Thanks for the compliment… So do have to turn you on too... Hahahaha”
Darryl: ‘Well, you have to ensure I don’t get kill after that by you know who…”
Kenny: ‘Hey Hey, Flirting in front of me… Want to die is it…. Hahahaha”
Darryl: “I would never do that… Never!! But I cannot stop others to be flirting with me ma… What to do? Tall, dark and sexy in my middle name… Hahaha”
Kelvin: “Oh goodness… I can so feel the gastric acid on the verge of exploring… Hahaha”
Darryl: “Hey... Maybe we should get ourselves seated…”

They make small talk to Lionel before heading for their seats… Not long after, the dinner begins… It was a Hollywood themed dinner which none of them notice it until the emcee announced it at the beginning… All 4 of them look at each other and give the “We really under-dress look” and smile… The whole dinner was kind of romantic and heartfelt by all the guests especially the speech given by Lionel… It brings tears to everybody’s eyes… The he ended his speech with a surprise…

“…. Thank you everyone for coming to dinner and I hope you will enjoy the rest of the evening celebrating our union… I understand a good friend of mine is quite a good singer here… I know him as somebody who is honest, trustworthy and a good confidant but I never know he is such a good singer until I heard from someone that he loved…So I would like to invite this good friend of mine and hopefully he will not reject me as this is really impromptu… Can I borrow your hands and welcome, my good friend… Darryl Tay…”

Darryl looks at Kenny and immediately he knows it was him who put him up for the singing again… But this time, Kenny actually did something different… He stood up and extended his hand… He held on to Darryl’s hand and together they walked to the stage hand in hand… Lionel looked at them and smiles… Kenny took the mic over from Lionel…

“Hi everyone, my name is Kenny… I am the one who actually put my close friend here to this surprise segment of the evening… So I think it rightfully my responsibility to ensure he come on stage to sing for the lovely couple tonight… We met Lionel in the most impossible way you guys can imagine… A few months ago, I was really sick and was send to the hospital and Lionel was actually the doctor who attended to me… And maybe fate played a part… We become really close friend after that… So tonight, at their union, we decided that… or I should say I decided that we should present him with something that he will remember so tonight, Darryl here will be singing for the lovely couple… So I shall hand the mic over to Darryl now…” Kenny passed the mic to Darryl…

“OK… Hmmm let me see… How funny… Geez… I am totally not prepared for a task like this… Though I am happy to sing for the couple but I do wish I am being informed slightly earlier to get myself prepared for it… Now I am totally blank out… Kenny, I guess you have the song ready for as well already right…” Kenny nodded…

“OK… While they are preparing for the song, I would like to say that it always nice to see 2 people willingly to take this new phase of their life together… Never once at a wedding, I don’t feel that love just filled up the whole room… Love from each other, family, friends, colleagues and relatives are all here to witness a lovely couple taking the vow and working together for a better future in each other arms… The relationship I have with Lionel is something magical that ever could possibly happen to 2 guys… And I am glad that this friendship has allowed me to see him get marry and maybe see him have children… Hahaha… Look at me, I sounded like his proud daddy… Hahahah” The whole room was filled with laughter

“But nevertheless, this is a special evening for both of them and hopefully everyone here will be filled with love after the night end….” Music started and Darryl sings for the couple…

After the song, Darryl thanked everyone and leaves the stage… “Encore, Encore…” come a voice from behind… Darryl looked towards the direction where the sound come from and saw Robin standing at a far corner giving him the applause and encouragement… The whole room become silent but Darryl can hear Robin so clearly... Robin smiled at him and even gives him a thumb up... Darryl stood still... he tried to called out to him but no matter how hard he tried, he just couldn't do it... He tried to reach out but he just couldn't move... Soon Robin started to drift further and further away... What was being replaced was a room filled with clapping sound from the guests… Darryl looked at Kenny and Kenny noticed something is not looking right for Darryl... Kenny stood up slowly approached Darryl but before he could even reached him, Darryl fainted...

Darryl & Kenny (Part 4 - Love is in the Air)

During the whole course of dinner, PDA was overflowing… Both of them just forgotten that they are at the public place and just keep flirting with each other… It seems they just know each other all again and cannot keep their hand to themselves... Love is definitely back in the air…

After dinner, they travelled on their individual car and Kenny reached home first… He finished shower and stuff but yet Darryl was not home yet… He give him a call but no answer… He tried again but still no answer…. He waited for a return call but still nothing… Kenny started to worry… He waited and waited… Finally after 25min, he heard some sound… He went to the door and saw Darryl…

Kenny: “Where have you been? I tried to call you but…”
Darryl: “Sorry Sorry… I went to get some stuff along the way but left my phone in the car…”
Kenny: “You should still give me a call after you see the missed call… I’m worried to death…”
Darryl: “Sorry… After I finished buying, I just thought of coming home fast… Sorry…”
Kenny: “Remember you promise me not to make me cry and worry again but you have just broken it…”
Darryl: “Dear, I’m really sorry… Sorry… I am just driving home and went to the petrol kiosk to get you your favourite ice cream… Please don’t be angry… It’s my fault… Punish me hard but don’t be angry… See your favourite ice cream… Please don’t be angry… Please…”
Kenny: “Am not angry just worried…”
Darryl: “See this is another reason why we should just have one car… So weird to be staying together and have dinner at the same place but travel home in different car and worst thing is we are staying together…”
Kenny: “I guess you are right… Hey! Don’t try to divert my attention…Still not done with you yet…”
Darryl: “You will be done with me… Because I will always be around…” Darryl hugged Kenny and planted a kiss on his lips… Kenny just enjoy the moment of being loved by his lover…
Kenny: “OK OK… Go and shower… I need to iron my clothes for dinner…”
Darryl: “What dinner?”
Kenny: “Dear, you forget we need to attend Lionel’s wedding dinner tomorrow?”
Darryl: “Is it tomorrow?”
Kenny: “Yes… You write it down on your phone calendar… Go check it out…”
Darryl: “Ooops… it is tomorrow… So what are we wearing?”
Kenny: “Just wear what you want to wear lor…”
Darryl: “I don’t want to wear anything now…” He turn Kenny around and kissed Kenny passionately and soon all the clothes were on the floor… They made passionate love that night and fall asleep in each other arm….

The next morning, Darryl was up earlier than Kenny. He took charge in the ironing and also making breakfast… When he went to the dining table, he realized that the tub of ice cream was left unattended for the whole night… He took a look and threw the whole tub away… After that, he went to wake Kenny up…

“Time to wake up, Mrs Tay… Else you will be late for work” He planted a kiss on Kenny’s forehead and went to take a shower… Soon Kenny joined him in the shower to get ready for work…

They both head out in their own cars and will meet back home to get a change of clothes before heading to the dinner… Darryl informed Kenny that he will be calling Kelvin about the trip and stuff while he is heading to work… Kenny acknowledged it and head out to work…

Kelvin: “Hello”
Darryl: “Hey Buddy! How have you been?”
Kelvin: “Wah… It been so long since I heard from you… I am doing good and u?”
Darryl: “Not too bad myself… Hey, are you attending Lionel’s wedding tonight?”
Kelvin: “Yes, of course… Though I still wondering why is he inviting me as we only each other such a short period… Hahaha”
Darryl: “Because he sees you as his friend… Hahaha”
Kelvin: “So how can I not go? Sure must give face ma…”
Darryl: “So I will see you tonight… Anyway, Kenny and I are planning to go Australia somewhere in June. So we are wondering whether you and your boyfriend will be keen to go together… Would be fun to have more travel mates…”
Kelvin: “Erm… It sure sounds fun but I need to check with Zac first whether he is up for the idea… Just in case he is not, can I still join you guys…?”
Darryl: “I don’t see why not…”
Kelvin: “Ok, Let me check with him and maybe I get back to you this evening… But what are you guys planning or where?”
Darryl: “I was thinking of going to Mardi Gras but I think I am a bit too late unless it next year… So we are thinking of doing farm stay at some farms and have a break from the city… Nothing actually firms up yet so we can always twitch the plan to fit in…”
Kelvin: “OK… Maybe we talk about this tonight…”
Darryl: “Sure… Look forward to see you…”
Kelvin: “Me too”
Darryl: “Bye”

Times flied and soon it knocks off time… Darryl got home first and changed into the attire prepared early while he was at it… Kenny called…

Kenny: “Dear, I still stuck in the office… You think you can bring the clothes over for me to change…”
Darryl: “Huh… Then how…”
Kenny: “You bring the clothes here… I will change in the office and then we head from here”
Darryl: “Then your car?”
Kenny: “Just leave it here lor… Anyway I got season parking so I can park here overnight and then drive home tomorrow…”
Darryl: “Oh ya… hahaha… Totally forget….”
Kenny: “So you give me a call when you near… Can bring along a towel as well at least i can towel clean a bit…”
Darryl: “I clean for you…Can?”
Kenny: “See got people in office or not lor… Hahaha”
Darryl: “Wooo.. Kinky… I like…”
Kenny: “Like your head la… U better come now else will be late…”
Darryl: “But I want to wait for you then come together…”
Kenny: “Hey… Nonsense… I will wait for you… Give me a ring when you are here…”
Darryl: “Yes Sir… Wait for me then we come together ok… Hahahaha”
Kenny: “Nonsense… Bye”

Darryl reached Kenny office in 20 minutes and wait for him to clean up and change… Kenny walked out of the room… Darryl looking at Kenny in astonishment… Kenny saw his expression…

“What's wrong?”

“Nothing… Just didn’t realize how handsome you are until now…”

“Is that suppose to be compliment or sarcasm?”

“Is definitely a compliment… Shall we?” Kenny nodded…

Darryl & Kenny (Part 3 - Changes)

Kenny was kind of relieve that the walk is finally over, he can put down the bouquet and just enjoy the dinner … But then, the worst is yet to come… When they were being shown to the seat, Kenny realized that Darryl ahs actually requested the restaurant to condone off a corner and specially decorated just for both of them… Kenny was totally blushing and embarrassing by Darryl’s action…

“Do you have to do that?” Kenny whispered softly to Darryl. Darryl made no response to it but just give him a wink…

The waiter sat them at their table and Kenny immediately looks up to Darryl and gives him a “What is going on?” look. Darryl got the hint and tell Kenny that it has been a long while since they actually come out in the public to have a nice decent dinner though it may seem as a bit over doing it but he just want Kenny to feel special as Kenny has put in and done so much for him over the months. He could not really think of a better way to thank Kenny besides giving him the pamper he deserved. Kenny was touched by what Darryl said but still he feel that something else is up Darryl sleeve…

Kenny: ‘So anything else beside this?”
Darryl: “What? Just a dinner…”
Kenny: “Sure?”
Darryl: “Yes…”
Kenny: “You should know by now, I am very sensitive to certain things”
Darryl: “I know…”
Kenny: “So…”
Darryl: “Nothing… Let just have the dinner ok and then after that let’s make some love…Hahahah”
Kenny: “You and your nonsense…”
Darryl: “But I want….” Giving Kenny the pouting look
Kenny: “Where got people so straight forward one? Spoil the mood… Now I no mood liao… Guess I am going to have dinner then head home and sleep”
Darryl: “Hey, don’t left me hanging hor…”
Kenny: “Too bad…”
Darryl: “Evil…”
Kenny: “I am so hungry… How come the waiter not here yet for ordering?”
Darryl: “Oh that… I have already order the food and it will be served shortly…”

Within minutes, the soup was served… While they are having their soup, Kenny bring up the topic on the sale of car…

Kenny: “Dear, why suddenly you mentioned you want to sell off the car?”
Darryl: “Well, I just started thinking that do I really need a car to get me from point to point… I did some simple calculation myself that even if I going to travel by cab everyday to and fro work, my monthly transport expense will be half of what I pay for to service the car… So it make good sense to sell off one car… Moreover, I can just use your car if I really need it…”
Kenny: “It does make sense but you are the one who suggested I get a car for myself as it will be more convenient for both of us, right?”
Darryl: “That was then… Though our income both can support the monthly installment but I just don’t want to be a car slave anymore… You know if I sell of my car now… I can save up to $7000 a year and use the money to go travelling with you… And it make total economic sense right?”
Kenny: “Agreed and I guess you have really thought it through about this… Just don’t complain in near future that public transport sucks…”
Darryl: “Well, I don’t think I will spend lots of time on public anyway.. I got u as my free chauffer to drive me around most time…”
Kenny: “Hey hey…. Since when I promise, I will drive you around… I very busy one ok…”
Darryl: “No need to promise… You love me so unconditionally so I am sure you will do that…”
Kenny: “Ya Ya…”
Darryl: “Love you…”
Kenny: “Love you too…”
Darryl: “Oh about the trip, I am thinking maybe we can see whether Kelvin and his boyfriend will want to go together… It will be fun to have more company…”
Kenny: “Which trip you talking about?”
Darryl: “Australia trip… I want to keep the France trip for the both of us.... I was wondering whether we can still make it for the Mardi Gras…”
Kenny: “Erm… Now it already April…. So I guess we missed to Mardi Gras already…”
Darryl: “Oh is it? Thought we can still make it for it… Anyway, I am thinking of travelling in groups for Australia will be fun and then just the 2 of us in the country of love... What do you think?”
Kenny: “I think we need to check with Kelvin first whether he is available or when he is available… Then we decide on how to work thing out”
Darryl: “Ok, will give him a buzz later and I am thinking of upgrading my flat…”
Kenny: “OK… Wait!!! What is actually going on here? First the car now the flat… You are going too fast… I mean we have not even settle on the car part and now you already talking about the flat?”
Darryl: “No… I actually wanted this to be a surprise for you way before Robin passed away… I have actually been looking at some places with Robin actually…”
Kenny: “Robin? How come I don’t know about it?”
Darryl: “It meant to be a surprise…I have been thinking to upgrade to an studio apartment which you have known all the while for as a place for both of us…”
Kenny: “But we already have the flat right…”
Darryl: “It not the same… The flat is still under my parents… I wanted something for both of us… Our home…”
Kenny: “I know but have you really think about it through? This is not a game… This is a big investment…”
Darryl: “I know and I just want to make you happy…”
Kenny: “Dear, I am happy as long as you are with me…I don’t need big house, I don’t need big car, and I don’t need all these material stuff… I just need you to be with me… I mean if you want to buy a house for investment purpose, I will not stop you but then I want you to think it through and carefully before making the decision… Don’t buy it for me… Because I don’t need it this, I just want you… Do you understand?”
Darryl: “I know… That why I am so happy that we are together and I am so lucky to have you as my partner…”
Kenny: “Let take thing a step at a time… Sort out the car first and then let go for a trip to relax and then we talk about this again, ok?”
Darryl: “OK… I love you so much…”
Kenny: “Me too…”
Darryl: “I feel so…”

Just then the waiter came to serve them dinner… Kenny look at Darryl and hold on to his hand in front of the waiter…

“Let just enjoy this night and have fun ok… Don’t think about the car, trip or even the house… Just you and me… And let start it all over again just like when we are on first date…” Darryl nodded and Kenny lean forward and give him a kiss on his lip…

“I think the waiter was disgusted by our PDA… Hahaha” They both laughed and it the start of a fun filled evening between the 2 of them all over again…

Darryl & Kenny (Part 2 – 360 Degree change)

The next morning, Darryl woke up really early to cook breakfast for Kenny… When Kenny was up, he was surprised by this thoughtful gesture by Darryl and glad that things maybe back on the right track again but he is not going to take any chance…he is kind of unsure of the whole situation change… Though he is happy of the change but there is worry that this is just an act by Darryl… Confusing but true... So he decided to talk to Darryl again on the situation…

Kenny: “Dear… Can I just ask you something?”
Darryl: “Go ahead…”
Kenny: “Have you think that it would be better for you to seek professional help on your situation?”
Darryl: “I am seeing the doctor…”
Kenny: “I mean professional psychiatric help…”
Darryl: “What make you suggest that?”
Kenny: “I just thinking that you need to start talking to someone about what you are really going through… And maybe, just maybe you may feel uncomfortable talking to me so this will be the best option for you… I just don’t want you to keep in inside and pretend that nothing is wrong… I want you to be happy again… As in really happy and not pretending you are happy… You get what I mean?”
Darryl: “I am ok already… I promise you I will seek help and talk to you more from now on and if I really need then I will go to them…”
Kenny: “But…”
Darryl: “Dear, you got to have faith in me…I promise I will go see them if I really need their help… but now I just want to work this through with you… Yet you have to give me some time… If you ask me to go to them now, I can tell you I may not be ready to talk to them… So just give me some time ok?”
Kenny: “Dear, I am not forcing you but just want you to see this as an option…”
Darryl: “I will keep that in mind and will let you know about it… Promise!”
Kenny: “You know I don’t need any promise from you just do what you think it right… But remember…”
Darryl: “Yes… I know… I will keep it as an option for me…” Darryl looked at Kenny and gives him a wink… Kenny just gives in…
Kenny: “So….”
Darryl: “So…. We should just take it easy and let plan for our trip which Robin has left us… We totally forget about it…”
Kenny: “Erm… You sure?” Kenny is even more confused now with the sudden bubbly self of Darryl... A vast contrast from last night…
Darryl: “Yes of course I am sure plus I been thinking it would be good for me to do something about it rather than sit around doing nothing… And I am sure Robin would want both of us to enjoy the trip… So let go to work and then we will come home and rework on our trip, ok?”
Kenny: “OK…”
Darryl: “Oh ya... Another thing is I am thinking maybe I should sell off my car…”
Kenny: “Why?”
Darryl: “Well, can save a little on the expense plus we don’t really need 2 cars for the 2 of us right… We just take turn to take the car”
Kenny: “True… But will it be inconvenient for you since you are in sales line and need to travel quite a fair bit…”
Darryl: “I’ve been thinking about it and I think with the installment of near $1K a month… I think I can sit comfortable on cab and still have quite a fair bit left for saving… Don’t you think? Plus your car is on a lower installment repayment so it would make more sense to sell mine and keep yours”
Kenny: “OK… Hang on there… there is too much for me to process now… Can we talk about it tonight?”
Darryl: “OK… Let go to work there…”

Kenny look at Darryl dumbfounded… Should he be happy that Darryl is back to normal or should he be worry that this is all just an act… He is confuse

“Oh ya… Dear, do you think it would a good idea to see whether Kelvin want to go for the trip as well?”

“Well… Let really sit down and talk about it tonight… ok? I see you tonight at home after work…”

They headed out to work together and during the whole day, Darryl constantly sms Kenny on his idea and thoughts which is making Kenny real worry because it like all of the sudden all the changes overnight… But he tried to calm himself and not to over think until he really sit down with Darryl tonight…

Finally end of work, Kenny was driving home when Darryl called to inform that he has made reservation at Fullerton and wanted Kenny to be there… Kenny was kind of reluctant to make a U turn but then knowing that Darryl was so enthusiastic about the dinner…

Soon he reached at Fullerton with Darryl with both hands behind his back
standing at the entrance waiting for him with a huge smile on his face when he see Kenny approaching… Kenny sensed something not too right… As he approached, Darryl took out a bouquet of flower from the back… Kenny was surprising touched by the gesture but embarrassed by it as well. It had been a while since he receives anything from Darryl…

Kenny: “What the….” Before Kenny can even finish his sentence…
Darryl: “I know… I know… But I just want to get something for you on a special night like this…”
Kenny: “What is the occasion?”
Darryl: “Erm… Nothing actually… Just our first date out since i… u know?”
Kenny: “I think I know but yet I am not sure…”
Darryl: “Well I think you know…”
Kenny: “I really don’t know…”
Darryl: “Anyway I will tell you later when we having dinner… So shall we, Mrs Tay?” Darryl lifted up his hand for Kenny but Kenny slaps it off…
Kenny: “No… It been embarrassed enough to hold on to this bouquet during the dinner so don’t think to make a grand entrance for the whole world to see we are gay…”
Darryl: “Why? I am out and proud… I can so kiss u here right now…” and steal a kiss from Kenny…
Kenny: “Behave… Am hungry so can we go eat now…”
Darryl: “OMG… You are blushing…”
Kenny: “No, I am not… I’m just hot…”
Darryl: “I so wanted to believe you but then you don’t sound convincing… Hahaha”
Kenny: “Let’s go…”

Darryl was smiling all the way to the restaurant with Kenny with the bouquet on his hand… It seems the longest walk for him though it just a mere 5 min walk but with people staring… he just feel so embarrassed but inside him, it sweetness overflow…

Darryl & Kenny (Part 1 - New Beginning)

It been more than 3 months since Robin passed away, things has never been the same for Darryl and Kenny. They started to drift apart and not as close as they use to be though they still stay together. And the problem undeniable arises when Darryl was diagnosed with depression. Darryl started communicating less to Kenny and hide in the room everyday after he went home. No matter how Kenny tried, Darryl just doesn’t really want to talk. Kenny is totally at a lost on the situation but yet he has no one to turn to except some of their friends. Kenny too hopes that if Robin is still around maybe thing won’t turn out to be this way. But unfortunately, he is no longer here and Kenny has to do whatever he can to handle this alone.

Kenny has been tolerant towards Darryl behavior and he knew that though Darryl is not really saying much. He needed to be by his side to give him the support and help him pull through this together and hoping that things will be soon but Kenny is tired too… There seems to a gap between them… No matter, how Kenny tried to close, Darryl seems to widen it even more… Kenny no longer can take it any longer as he is tired and exhausted…

Kenny: “Dear, can I talk to you?”
Darryl: “Hmmm….”
Kenny: “I really need to talk to you…please”
Darryl: “Yup, what is it?”
Kenny: “I don’t know whether you have realized anything wrong between us lately but I have… I am not sure what is going on in your mind and I am not sure how can I make you feel better but we seems to be drifting apart. And it adding stress on me and I am tired… I really want to know how I can make thing better for both of us… I don’t want to lose you but you have been behaving like I am no longer needed in your life… I am lost…”
Darryl: “…”
Kenny: “I know you are saddened by Robin and you are greatly affected by it both physically and emotionally but I am too… yet I have to be here fto support you but with you not telling or talking to me, I am really helpless and lost with you now… Everyday I come back to you hoping that you will talk to me more and more everyday but day after day after day… You just gone more and more silent… I really love you and I really want you to know I am here for you but no matter how much I do or how hard i try to do, you are still ignoring or even treated me like we are total stranger… I have long forgotten how your hug feels to me, I have long forgotten how your smile brightens my days… And everything else about you... I just don't think i can take this anymore but i am still here... I am still here.... Did you see it... Did you realise it...” Kenny broke down and cried…

Darryl looked at Kenny… He felt the pain Kenny goes through but he is lost of words… He wanted to console him but nothing comes out from his mouth… He walked toward Kenny and gives Kenny a tight hug… Kenny looked at Darryl… Darryl leaned forward and planted a kiss on Kenny lips… Kenny reciprocated… And the passion between just rekindle and desire run wild… It had been so long since they last get intimate… Kenny was glad that the passion between them still exists…

Darryl holds on to Kenny tightly and looks at him... Kenny was sleeping…

“Sorry, I didn’t know I am so much trouble to you for the past few months. I am also trying very hard to get out of this situation that I am in… I been trying too and I really have but the more I see you doing so many things for me… I just feel more inferior about myself not able to give you what you want from me… I cannot deny I ever have thought of letting you go to be with someone more deserving but I just can’t bring myself to do it but thoughts also me make me shiver… I want to be with you but I just don’t think I can give you what is required to you… I am as lost as you are… In fact, I am confused… I just want…”

“Shhhhh…. Don’t say anymore”

Darryl: “You are not asleep…”
Kenny: “I was but was awaken by your touching speech…” Kenny turn around and look at Darryl
Darryl: “I’m sorry for pushing you away… I really don’t mean too but I feel very inferior…”
Kenny: “Why are you thinking such things? Is it because of me and the things I have done…”
Darryl: “Its you being there for me all these while and I have done nothing at all beside running and pushing you away… I don’t know what have gotten into me… I wanted to open up to you but I….”
Kenny: “Shhhh… Dear, you know I love you and I am here for you no matter what… I have to admit at times I am tired with the whole situation and really got opportunity for me to lead me to leave you but I persists until today… Just now I so wanted to tell you that let give take a break but I just cannot bring myself to say so because I don’t want to give up on you… I don’t want to… The past 3 months has been unbearable for me coming home to this place with you so near to be yet feeling so far from me… I cannot deny i am having thought of leaving you because i assume you will be better off without me here giving you stress and pressure...”
Darryl: “I’m sorry…”
Kenny: “Don’t apologize… I am not blaming you… Just don’t shut me off again… Don't give up on me and don't give up on yourself... Let get through this rough patch together, let face it together...”
Darryl: “I am so sorry… I really am… I love you, Kenny… I love you, Kenny…”
Kenny: “I love you too… You know this is actually the first time in 3 months that i feel your hugs and hear you say this to me... Though it a long wait but at least i know you have not given up on me...”
Darryl: “I promise you to my last breath… I will never make you cry or sad again… I promise…”
Kenny: “I know you won’t…”

Darryl then planted another kiss on Kenny and Kenny can feel how that Darryl warmth tears flowing down his own cheeks…

Hello everyone!!! Sorry for not posting for such a long time and keeping you guys suspense on the story...

I am going through quite a rough patch of my life for the past month and guess i am now feeling better and am ready to do my update on the story again...

However, this will be a new beginning for me and hopefully for you guys as well... The previous story on Love Is had actually ended with Robin death and a new story will be posted soon on this blog as a continuation from the previous and the focus will be unfold as the story goes by...

Some of you have wonder am i part of the story... Well i can just say that i am one of the characters in the story thus the details... And some actually who i am actually in the story... Hmmm this will be unfold in the new part os the story real soon...

I look forward for all your support in my story and give me feedback and comments on how i can write it better... I do understand sometime my grammer suck big time but hey i just trying to write what come to mind without really going thru the grammer and spelling check... So pls pardon me...

It was near evening when Darryl finally stands up… Kenny walked toward him and gives him a hug…

Kenny: “Feeling better?” Darryl gives a nod to acknowledge the question
Darryl: “How long have you been here?”
Kenny: “For as long as you are here...”
Darryl: “Sorry…”
Kenny: “Don’t be… I just worried about you and want to be when you need me”
Darryl: “Have the police given any update on the autopsy?”
Kenny: “No… Dear, I am thinking maybe you should at least read the letter… It may give some clues to what really happen?”
Darryl: “No… I don’t want to know what happen.”
Kenny: “You know you do and very eager to find out… You just don’t want to face the fact that he has left…”
Darryl: “No… I cannot accept that fact that he lied to me…”
Kenny: “Maybe he didn’t or maybe there is an explanation… That’s why you need to read the letter… You can’t be holding grudge against him when you know nothing about what actually happen? Don’t just assume…”
Darryl: “I am NOT ASSUMING!!! HE LIED!!!”
Kenny: “Is it that important to you now that he lied to you? Is it that important that you are so pissed off that you don’t want to read his letter to find out what he going to say to you? Seriously, what is more important now? Your friend who is already dead or holding grudge…”
Darryl: “I…”
Kenny: “I what? You are always like that… Focusing on the wrong issue… Sometime I don’t even know whether I really know you or not… There is nothing more important that to find out what really goes wrong… But yet you are concentrating on you principle that anyone who lied to you will be hated by you… Seriously are you kidding me with that? Are you are really that angry with him that you are going to hate him for the rest of your life that he lied to you and you will not even consider him as your friend anymore? Are you?”
Darryl: “I…”
Kenny: “You sure you don’t want to read it… I will tear it up and throw it away… No point keeping it when his best friend couldn’t even want to read it… Since you so sure of not reading it because he lied then this letter is totally pointless… I shall tear it up then…”
Darryl: “Wait! Give it to me…”
Kenny: “For what? Oh you are going to tear it yourself…”
Darryl: “No… So are you giving it to me…”
Kenny: “Here you go… Seriously, I wonder why must I always go to this extend in order for you to do something…” Darryl just looked at Kenny as he took the letter over… Darryl was apparently still shaking from the news and his hand was shaking when he take the letter over…

“Read it only when you are ready… I leave you alone while I go get some update from the police…”

Darryl put the letter close this heart and took quite a while before he finally opened up the envelope... He took out the letter slowly afraid of tearing and slowly he took a deep breath… Tears started flowing down again… The pain is just too much for him to handle this alone but he need to do it… He needs to know why Robin lied to him… He needs to know what Robin’s last word is but he is afraid of reading it… He scared he cannot take the truth… He took a deep breath and began to read the letter…

To Darryl,

Sorry for just dropping you a letter just like that… I know at this present moment of time, you are filled with anger of why am I doing this though I have made a promise to you… I know you will not even forgive me…

To be frank, I have been contemplating suicide since Tommy left. I am in fact quite impressive of myself to hang on for so long missing him and going through my days without him… My days go gloomier and gloomier each day without him around but yet I tried my utmost best to keep the thought away… But it was getting unbearable… My life is totally meaningless with him…Can you imagine losing Kenny for the rest of your life especially when you love him so much? You will be as miserable as me… I have nothing left in my life without him around… No colours, no sunshine… Everything just dark and cloudy… I have forgotten how to be happy without pretending… I have forgotten how to enjoy my life without him… I have forgotten how to smile without faking it… I have forgotten how my life has been without him…

Back in Thailand, I was alone… I dismissed the housekeeper because with him around, I remember everything about Tommy and how he is taking care of Tommy… It’s so dreadful… Every corner, every thing in the house reminded me of him…

I once tell myself I will be able to live on without him… I did tell myself that I am going to pull through the days without him around me but it is so hard to do so… No matter how much I tell myself to let go, it just doesn’t work…It just totally useless and it make me even more depressed…

I did try but I failed… Sorry… I really didn’t mean to hurt you but I really cannot take it… I do understand that I have promise you about this and I really didn’t mean to lie…

I have long planned this trip to be my last… I trying to make full use of this trip to visit every place I can remember being with him but most importantly to see you for one last time… And I did not even booked the flight back as I know I will not be going back anymore…

Please don’t be angry with me for doing this… I am at a better place now by the time you read this letter…

I know that no matter how many sorry I say will not make up to you in any way but I just want you to know this… I have never been so relief to know that finally I can go and find Tommy and be unite with him again… I saw him and I saw him very clearly this time and he is waiting for me... He is reaching out for me… And I know I will be with him…

Goodbye My Friend and I’m sorry. Please don’t be sad for me as you know being with him is where I really belong…

Darryl put the letter down and look at the cars moving passed him… He is now lost in the word of Robin…

“He has planned this all along… He has planned this all along…” Darryl spoke to himself… A hand reached out to him… He looked up and it’s Kelvin…

Kelvin: “Hey bro… I’m sorry about your lost…”
Darryl: “How do u…”
Kelvin: “Kenny called me while he is at there waiting for the result of the autopsy… He is worried about you so he called me here…”
Darryl: “Thanks for coming…”
Kelvin: “Don’t say that… So… you ok?”
Darryl: “I don’t think I can answer that… I just confused about how I am feeling…”
Kelvin: “Want to talk about it or…”
Darryl: “No… I just need to figure it out myself…” Kelvin hold on to Darryl hand and Darryl just lean on Kelvin shoulder…

Darryl: “I… I…” And tears just flow down onto his cheeks… “He asked me not to be sad for him…”
Kelvin: “And I know it is hard for you so just let it out… You will feel better…” And Darryl broke down again….

Love Is... (Part 97 - Robin Finale)

Darryl woke up the next morning to get ready for work and was in the shower when Kenny went in to join him as they are literally late for work after spending the night with Robin before he head back to Bangkok.

They were rushing to get ready for work and was in a relatively good mood because of the new beginning of a brand new year…

Darryl: “How times flied… It already the beginning of a brand new year…”
Kenny: “Yes, Dear… It was quite a rollercoaster ride for the whole of last year…”
Darryl: “Totally agreed… Any new year’s resolution?”
Kenny: “It not so much of a resolution because I never fulfilled most of them as it kind of pointless to make up something and just not fulfilling it… Hahaha… More of New Year wish to have all my friends stay healthy and happy… Of course not the mention to love my partner more everyday and make this relationship last forever… So what about you?”
Darryl: “Erm… I am hoping to have a child by the end of the year and also maybe go travelling more often… So you better work harder and give me a child by end of the year…”
Kenny: “Erm… I don’t think I can do that no matter how hard I try… Can give you a pet instead? Hahaha…”
Darryl: “Hahaha… I know you will not be able to fulfill it so I already have an alternative plan…”
Kenny: “Alternative plan?”
Darryl: “Yes, by the end of the year, if you still cannot bear me any child, I will leave you…”
Kenny: “Ya ya… As if you will…”
Darryl: “Yes I will… “ Darryl look seriously at Kenny to tell him that he is not lying…
Kenny: “You really mean it…” Kenny give Darryl a worried look…
Darryl: “Of course…”
Kenny: “Then you better go now… Because I will never be able to make it… Bye” Kenny picked up his stuff and walk away…
Darryl: “Wei… Where you going?”
Kenny: “Leave here before you leave me…”
Darryl: “Don’t go… Don’t go… I am just kidding” Darryl grabs on to Kenny’s hand but Kenny shook it off…
Kenny: “I already know how you feel about me and I don’t want to disappoint you… So it best this way…”
Darryl: “I am just kidding la… You can’t be serious about this, right? I know who you are and what you have so how can I expect you to bear me child… Don’t go… Can?”
Kenny: “Erm… If you still don’t let go, I will seriously be late at work… hahaha”
Darryl: “Evil!!! You… “
Kenny: “Who ask you to ask such thing from me knowing it is impossible for me to do it…”
Darryl: “Hahaha… It just meant to be a prank ma… It’s New Year so lighten up…”
Kenny: “I know that why I retaliate…”
Darryl: “You… “
Kenny: “Can we go now? We are really going to be late if you still don’t want to get change…”
Darryl: “Hahaha… OK OK… I very fast one…”

*Ding Dong*

Darryl: “Is it the doorbell?”
Kenny: “Yes… But are we expecting anybody this early?”
Darryl: “No… Maybe is Robin… Guess he may have missed his flight…”
Kenny: “Hahaha… Maybe… I go get it and please get change now…”
Darryl: “Ok… Be done in 5 minute”

Darryl was changing halfway when Kenny walked into the room…

“Dear… Follow me…”

“Dear, anything wrong…” Darryl said as he approached the door… He saw 2 policemen standing there….

“Dear, what is wrong? What is wrong? Why are there 2 policemen at our door?”

“Dear, you calm down first and listen to them…”

“No… No… Ask them to go away… I don’t want to listen… I don’t want to listen…” Darryl just turned away and walked back into the room… He locked the door and refused to open it… No matter how Kenny persuaded him, he just refused to open the door. He refused to talk to anyone else and hear anything from anyone…

It was near noon when Darryl finally opened the door. Kenny walked up to him and the policemen were still at the living room… Darryl walked towards them…

“Where is he now?” The police was trying to tell him but Darryl spoke again “I do not want to hear anything else, just tell me where is he now?”

“He is at SGH… We are here to bring you there…” Darryl and Kenny follow the police to the hospital. They were escort to the ward and in the ward laid a body... Darryl and Kenny walked into the ward… Darryl’s hand was shaking when he tried to lift up the white sheet… He was hoping it was not him… It just not him… But it was Robin’s… It really is Robin…

“NO!!!!!!!...” Darryl shouted and broke down… “You LIAR!!! LIAR!!! YOU PROMISE ME!!! YOU LIED TO ME!!!! YOU LIED!!! You lied…” Kenny hold on to Darryl tightly and trying to calm him down… “Why are you doing this? You promise me… You promise me… You promise Tommy… You liar!!! LIAR!!!!....” Kenny just hold on to Darryl tightly to prevent him from causing hurt to himself… One of the police walked in and tried to talk to them but Kenny stopped him in order to let Darryl calm down first… The police get the hint and walked out and waited at the door…

Darryl dried up his tears and walked out of the door. Kenny followed closely behind… Darryl approached the police… Kenny can sense the hostility in the environment and he just doesn’t want Darryl to do anything silly…

Darryl stood there without saying a word. The police handed him a letter in his name and he took it over from the police and handed it to Kenny…

“Keep this… I don’t want to know what this liar has written…” Then he turns back to the police… “So what you want to tell me?”

“I’m Sergeant Steven. The hotel staff found him unconscious after numerous attempts to the room for his morning call. Paramedics were being call in but was already too late… He was pronounced dead on the spot and police were then call in… We will need to do an autopsy on him later to determine the nature of his death… We are really sorry with the loss of your friend.”

“What time when the hotel staff actually found him?”

“It was approximately 5am as he requested a morning call at 330am but no answer so the hotel staff called him almost every 15minute and the staff that found him worry that something was amiss thus he went up to look for him but…. Accordingly to the staff, Mr Robin requested quite a fair bit of liquor to be send to his room approximately 1am in the morning saying that he has a dear friend with him and wanted to celebrate a new beginning with him… but when the liquor was delivered, they saw no one but Mr Robin in the room…”

“1am?”

“Yup… but the staff saw nobody in the room except for Mr Robin… In fact, the letter that I just handed to you was by his side… So I guess you should at least read it…”

“I don’t know… I don’t think I can take the lies anymore…”

“Take it easy… And I’m really sorry about your lost…”

“You can never imagine what I am going through now… Because I myself don’t know what am I feeling right now…”

“I will update you on the autopsy report later the day… We are still trying to contact his family member but till now still no news yet… So I was wondering whether you can assist us in doing so…”

“I will try…”

“Thanks…” The police then walk away…

Kenny: “Dear…”
Darryl: ‘Why is he doing this? Why?”
Kenny: “Maybe you should read the letter…”
Darryl: “I don’t know… I am trying to control…”
Kenny: “Don’t control… What is there to control?”
Darryl: “I don’t know… I really don’t know…”
Kenny: “Then find out… He is your best friend… I am sure he has his reason…”
Darryl: “He is not my friend… My friend will not put me through such pain… My friend will not break his promise to me… My friend will not hurt me like that… He promises me!!! He promises last night that he will not do anything silly… He did and looked at him now… He broke his promise… He broke it!!!... “
Kenny: “OK… Calm down…”
Darryl: “My friend will not do this to me… My friend will not… “
Kenny: “Shhhh…. Just let it out… Just let your emotion out… I understand how you feel”
Darryl: “You don’t understand and you never will… I don’t even know myself… I don’t even know myself…”

Darryl pushed Kenny away and ran out of the hospital without looking back… Kenny ran after him till Darryl come to a complete stop… Darryl squatted down and started crying…

Love Is... (Part 96 - Robin 6)

The next few days went as plan and they have a wonderful time with Robin trying to rediscover Singapore… Singapore has never been that fun and exciting… Everywhere they go even to the Zoo is filled with laughter and excitement… They really spend good time together exploring different parts of Singapore…

They were sitting at one of the café along East Coast Park taking a break from rollerblading…

Robin: “Wow, can you believe the number of places we visited this few days… I never expect myself to be so in awe with them and falling in love with them again…”
Darryl: “Me too… I never expected I will have so much fun… I will never see Singapore the same way again…”
Kenny: “Hahaha… The 2 of you are like kids throughout… Wow here Wow there... So funny and candid… I am glad I got quite a fair bit of candid shot from both of you…”
Robin: “Because it so much fun… When we were at the Botanical Garden and Mount Faber, it just takes my breath away on the natural scenery… And the zoo, it been so long since I lasted visited… The science centre and other places… It just fun…”
Darryl: “Yes Yes… I like the science centre… They have upgraded so much and everything is like so interactive… It so fun…”
Kenny: “Hahaha…”
Robin: “What are you laughing?”
Kenny: “The reactions of both of you… Hahaha… Like primary school kids going for their first excursion…”
Darryl: “Ya la ya la… You are mature and we are like children…”
Kenny: “Oh no no… I am not… I am just a normal person… hahaha… We should this more often…”
Robin: “Oh no… this is just be done once a while so we can relive our childhood… It will spoil the fun if too frequent…”
Darryl: “Same thought… I mean see how much fun we have after like more than 10years since we last visited???”
Robin: “For me, it’s longer…. Much longer… Hahaha”
Kenny: “Not going to debate one that with you… Anywhere what time is your flight tomorrow?”
Robin: “Oh I’m leaving very early in the morning… Think my flight is 6am…”
Darryl: “That’s early… I go and pick you up at say 4am…”
Robin: “No need… I have gotten the hotel to arrange a transfer for me to the airport… I am thinking it might a bit too early to trouble anyone…”
Darryl: “Really?”
Robin: “Yes… I have gotten them to pick me up at 430am to the airport…”
Kenny: “Why such early flight?”
Robin: “Cheaper… plus by the time I reach Bangkok, it will be just nice...”
Kenny: “Ya… Just nice to hit the traffic jam…”
Robin: “Hahaha… It not that bad… Plus I’m used to the jam so nothing fazed me anymore…”
Darryl: “Hahaha… That’s true… I remember the first time I went there I was stuck in the jam for more than 2 hours and I was really high tide so bad that the driver actually give me an empty bottle to relief myself there and then… hahaha… it was so embarrassing to unzip and just peed into the bottle… I was like trying to pee and was really cautious not to spill onto his car… So embarrassing”
Kenny: “OMG!!! You actually take out your dick and peed there…”
Darryl: “Yes I did… I just cannot hold it anymore…”
Kenny: “Wow… Someone give the drive free show wor…”
Darryl: “Hahaha… if u have it, flaunt it… Hahaha… Nonsense! I was at the back seat right behind him so he didn’t see anything I guess… Hahaha and that was like years ago… Now it only meant for you…”
Robin: “Erm… Stop there… Too much detail… I don’t need to know…. Can we go for dinner?”
Darryl: “Dinner? Now? At 4pm?”
Robin: “Hahaha…. I was just trying to change topic…”
Kenny: “Well, shall we go for buffet today?”
Darryl: “Not a bad idea… Can take our time to eat and chat…”
Robin: “It’s so funny that we have been having so much to talk about for the last few days… And we had been seeing each other every day…It like I just to know both of you and also Singapore only on this trip…”
Darryl: “Ya… It so funny right?”
Robin: “I hope Tommy is here with us… He will be so happy as well…”

A sudden moment of silence just filled up the air after this sentence has been spoken… Darryl look at Kenny for a response… But Kenny just stared blankly… Nobody said anything for a while until Robin break the silence…

Robin: “So buffet dinner?”
Kenny: “Yup… But where…”
Darryl: “Any hotel should have so it should not be much a problem… We just need to think of what type buffet? Japanese, Local, International…”
Robin: “International…”
Darryl: “Then let head back to freshen up before heading to dinner?”
Kenny: “Totally agree…”

So they made their way back to Darryl’s place. While Robin is in the shower, Darryl and Kenny surf the net to find international buffet dinner… And by the time, they were walking up and down the room trying to have Robin decide on where to eat… Until they eventually give up and just sit down at the living room and wait for him…

Robin: “You guys are so funny… Why can’t you guys just wait for me to come out from shower before deciding? I can’t even enjoy a nice and relaxing shower…”
Darryl: “Hahaha… Feel free to shower again… NO extra charge…”
Robin: “Ya ya… You guys really a funny couple… So where to have food…”
Kenny: “I leave to you guys… I go shower…”

So Darryl and Robin sat and discuss when Robin suddenly mentioned something that broke Darryl heart…

Robin: “If ever a day, I won’t be around anymore… Promise me, you will remember me this happy way…”
Darryl: “What are you talking about?”
Robin: “Nothing I just want you to remember the happy me…”
Darryl: “Please… Don’t say such things… You are who you are and I will remember every detail of you…”
Robin: “That’s good… I don’t know how long more I will live but I hope you will not forget me…”
Darryl: “Please stop all these nonsense… Please… I don’t want to hear anymore…”
Robin: “But you soon have to face it…”
Darryl: “NO… what do you mean I soon have to face it??? What do you mean???”
Robin: “Nothing… Nothing…”

Darryl: “Tell me what is it… What is it in your mind?”
Robin: “Nothing… I am just scared as much as you do…”
Darryl: “Promise me… Promise me you will not do anything silly… Please promise me… Please…”
Robin: “I…”
Darryl: “Please don’t do anything silly… Please…”
Robin: “I promise… But I am scared…”
Darryl: “You have me… Stay here with me… You can have the extra room… You need not go back to BKK… You know that… Stay here and we face the fear together… You, me and Kenny… You no need to do this alone… And you know that we are here for you… So you no need to face it alone…”
Robin: “I know… We talk about this later… Kenny is coming out…”
Darryl: “Promise me you will not do anything silly…”
Robin: “OK OK… So… let fixed this place for dinner then…”

And the conversation was never completed…
