That night was a sleepless night for Darryl again. He is really worried about Robin but more worried about the things that Robin has said during the phone conversation. The sudden change of personality is something that pushes Darryl to be more caution on the things that need to be say and the support he needs to give to Robin… He do not want Robin to succumb defeat to a dream he had but on the other hand, he really lost on what else he can do… He cannot be with Robin 24/7 a week 365 days a year… Robin will still be going back to Thailand after New Year Day… He is confused and lost… Kenny seems to sense that Darryl is not asleep and he gives him a hug…
Kenny: “You want to talk about it?”
Darryl: “Sorry… did I wake you up?”
Kenny: “I’m not sleeping…”
Darryl: “Sorry…”
Kenny: “Not your fault… Somehow it just weird that ever since I slept on this bed with you… I started to feel more and I know that at this moment, you are not sleeping but thinking of Robin… Somehow I can feel it… Though I may be tired but yet I myself can’t help it to worry as well as it is affecting my lover… So want to head out to the couch and grab a cup of hot tea…”
Darryl: “But it is 3am in the morning, you must be exhausted…”
Kenny: “Don’t worry… I’m fine… I go prepare the tea…”
Darryl: “No… Just let me be in your arms for a while…”
Kenny: “OK”
Darryl: “Dear, I just don’t know why I keep having a bad feeling about the phone conversation I had with Robin just now…”
Kenny: “What happen?”
Darryl: “He was really happy and said that he can’t wait to sleep so that he can talk to Tommy again in his dream…”
Kenny: “Well, maybe this is the reason he is really happy…”
Darryl: “But he also said this…”
Kenny: “What did he say?”
Darryl: “I can’t wait to tell Tommy how much I miss him and how happy to know that he is waiting for me and….”
Kenny: “What? Dear, please don’t pause like that… You are making me really worry now…Come on tells me what else he says…”
Kenny sits up and he look over to Darryl… Tears are already falling from his eyes… Darryl tried to compose himself before continuing….
Darryl: “He hopes the wait will not be long… As he hates to know, he is so near yet so far away from Tommy…”
Kenny: “OMG!!! Why didn’t you tell me about it just now?”
Darryl: “I was lost and scared…”
Kenny: “Ok… Ok… Shhhhhhh… I am here… So what did you tell him?”
Darryl: “I told him not to do anything silly else Tommy might be angry with him… But then he just laughs it off and said he sure know Tommy will be angry…”
Kenny: “Anything else he says?”
Darryl: “He said he will take care of himself and ask me don’t worry… He knows what he is doing…and stops treating him like he is needy of our support…”
Kenny: “Did he say that? Are you sure Robin said that? But Robin… He won’t…”
Darryl: “I really wanted to go to the hotel just now but after he said this… I…”
Kenny: “I know… Well, we just have to be there and see how it goes… I really don’t know what he is thinking or even contemplating now but I think he will not do anything silly…”
Darryl: “What make you so sure?”
Kenny: “I am not but I am thinking positively…Because I don’t want to think that he is going to do anything silly… Nope I am not going to think about it…”
Darryl: “Me too but I…”
Kenny: “I know… It will be tough on you but we need to be strong together so that he can help him… We have to help him… We just have to take thing a step at a time… Why not we think of where we are going for dinner?”
Darryl: “Erm….”
Kenny: “Shall we do Jap tomorrow? It has been a while since we ate that…”
Darryl: “OK… That’s a fast change…”
Kenny: “Well, just have to do it…”
Darryl: “OK…”
Kenny: “OK set… Tomorrow morning I will make reservation and then call Robin… OK now let’s get some sleep…”
Darryl: “OK…”
Both of them lied back down on the bed but both of them are pretty sure the other party is not sleeping at all... Kenny turned over to hug Darryl from behind and whispered…
“Don’t worry too much… I’m here…Everything will be fine…”
The hug at this time really means so much to Darryl… He started to think what his life will be if Kenny is not here with him… Will it be the same? Will he ever be able to find someone who understand him so well and give the comfort to him everytime he needed them… He is the most perfect lover in Darryl’s eyes… He hopes that the love they have will be last forever because he can never imagine his life without Kenny… And with the thoughts and silence, Darryl drifted into sleep…
The next morning, Darryl was woken up by a call from Robin… Robin wanted to head to some places and wonder whether both of them are free… Darryl told Robin that they will be on leave till 2 Jan so it should be ok… but Kenny is still in bed… They go ahead and fix the time to meet up anyway…
After the phone call, Darryl woke Kenny up and tells him about the plan… Darryl then heads to the bathroom to shower and Kenny joins him shortly after… Soon both of them are on the road towards the hotel… Darryl asked Kenny to call Robin to inform him that they are on the way toward him and see him at the lobby in 15 minutes
Kenny: “He does sound OK to me, Dear…”
Darryl: “Yup, he does and the bubbly persona is still there… so I guess he is really happy…”
Kenny: “Yup… Guess we worry for nothing… Hahaha”
Darryl: “Hopefully so…”
Kenny: “Did he mention anywhere he want to go particularly…”
Darryl: “Not really… he just mentioned he need to visit some places so I just agree to go with him…”
Kenny: “Ya… I know… Never consult me again and just make the decision…”
Darryl: “Oops”
Kenny: “See I know I not important… I just ask to tag along only…”
Darryl: “You are always important to me and you know it… I cannot imagine how my life will turn out now if you were not in it… And I can’t never possibly imagine my life without you sitting next to me…”
Kenny: “Don’t believe you…”
Darryl: “I swear with my life… I mean everything I have just said…”
Kenny: “Still don’t believe…Plus your life means nothing to me”
Darryl: “Fine… Hold on to the steering wheel…”
Kenny obliged without thinking and Darryl loosen the seat belts..
Darryl: “I shall jump off the car then…” Darryl pretend to open the door…
Kenny: “Hey…” Kenny grab hold of him and place Darryl hand back onto the steering wheel…
Darryl: “What?”
Kenny: “I believe you la… So drama… Anyway you’re not going to jump... Pretend only…”
Darryl: “Fine… I will jump… You wish is my command…”
Kenny: “Stop it lar… You and your nonsense… I don’t want to be a murderer hor…”
Darryl: “But my life means nothing to you what…”
Kenny: “You mean everything to me… Can?”
Darryl: “Wah… so insincere one…”
Kenny: “So you want or not… Don’t want, it’s ok…”
Darryl: “Want… Anything also wants as long as it is with you…”
Kenny: “Nonsense…” Both of them laughed
Robin was already at the Hotel entrance waiting for them when they approached…
