Robin got on the car and off they head out to their unbelievable excursion of Singapore…
Kenny: “So anywhere you want go in particular?”
Robin: “Yup… There is actually a few place that I really miss and wanted to have a look after so many years…”
Darryl: “OK then… you give the direction and I will bring you there…”
Robin: “Hope it not too much hassle for both of you…”
Darryl: “Nah… Not at all, we are on leave anyway… Supposedly to be in France now but then we decided to push back till next year… So we are free to accompany you… Just hope you don’t find us a nuisance”
Robin: “I may eventually… but now I still need both of you as my driver and companion… hahaha”
Kenny: “Well said… And Mr Robin, may we have your first destination please…”
Robin: “Driver, please head to these places in order…”
Robin passed them a piece of paper… And the places include a residential address, a secondary school, a hotel and a park…
Kenny: “So we are going to this address first?”
Robin: “Yes… Need to visit someone…”
Kenny: “Mind telling us somemore?”
Robin: “I will let you have the details when we finish all the places…”
Darryl: “So secretive…”
Robin: “Yes it is… We are going to solve the mystery…”
Kenny: “OK this trip is getting interesting… I like…”
Darryl: “You like everything anyway…”
Kenny: “Well, I’m just easy going…”
Darryl: “Ya ya… So Rob, you want to grab something to eat first?”
Robin: “I’m ok… Just go to the first place…”
Darryl: “Yes sir…”
Upon reaching the destination, Robin requested Darryl and Kenny to stay in the car to wait for him… He will not take long just need to visit someone close… Both of them agreed and see nothing wrong about Robin… So they just waited and 45min passed by before they see Robin walking towards the car… Happy was being replaced by Sadness… But Robin still not talking to them about anything so they proceed to the other 3 places and with each one, Robin get more sad… Nothing much was being exchanged as Darryl and Kenny were confused what is going on… Darryl was very tempted to ask Robin about it but Kenny rejected the idea and decided that to give Robin some privacy as Robin did mentioned he will give them the details when the trip ends…
Finally they comes to the last destination, Sembawang Park… Darryl parked the car and all three of them took a slow walk around the place… They sat down at a bench and Robin started to let them in the details of today trip… Kenny headed to an ice cream seller to get some drinks and join them after that…
Darryl: “Robin, you doing ok? You look kind of pale…”
Robin: “I am doing ok… Just some of the places do bring back memories… I am glad I visited them though… Thanks for the company”
Darryl: “We didn’t do much actually… Just accompany you…”
Robin: “It more than enough already… Want to hear a story?”
Darryl: “Yup…” Kenny nodded in unison…
“Several years ago in this particular part, there was a young man cycling along the cycling track alone… Along the way, he saw family doing picnic, couples holding hands walking along the pavement. Everything was nice and peaceful then someone caught his eyes…. A young good looking gentleman cycling in opposite direction of him… Their eyes met for the very time… Unexpectedly, both of them looked back to check on each other again but nothing was exchanged but just a look of fondness in each other eye… A few months later, the first young man came back cycling again… But a strange feeling surrounded him… He could not lay a hand on what the feeling is until he saw him again… He was cycling towards him but this time round; his heart was beating very fast and almost exploding… The guy just gives him a smile and cycled on…
The very next day, he came back again determine to know this guy… But he was disappointed… It went on for almost a week until he finally appeared again… They were cycling on the same tracks, their eyes met and slowly they come to a stop… They started to chat and feeling started to blossom… By the end of the day, numbers were exchanged and they started to keep in touch…
The relationship got serious but however, was not being accepted most of their friends… But truly in love are both of them, they started to drift apart from their friends and slowly they are left alone… They started a life together secretly but was found out by their family members, it was chaotic… Family members objected their union and in fact force them to end it with threats of suicide from both side of the family… In the end, they give in to the pressure and broke up…
But their feeling for each other are so strong that lives with each other is totally dreadful and tough to go on… The break off only lasted for 3 days and they are back together again without anyone knowledge including friends… They started to lead a double life and quickly adapted to this new lives of their… Each night, they will meet at the field next to the school so that nobody will find them and once a while, they will stay in the hotel to be on their own… And this goes on for like forever until a job opportunity arises and both of them relocated to this new country and finally starting a life where they finally need not need to hide anymore…”
Darryl: “Is this you and Tommy?”
Robin: “Yup…”
Darryl: “But I thought you guys met in Bangkok?”
Robin: “Nope… We did not… This is the exact place I met him… When we decided to keep our relationship in the dark, we decided not to tell anybody about it… Lots of pressures were coming through from everywhere that is making us hard to breathe…”
Kenny: “So all the places you visited to today is…?”
Robin: “Yes… These are the places where we pull ourselves through at our lowest point but yet it’s sweet memory that I have with him…”
Kenny: “But the residential address…”
Robin: “Tommy’s parents…”
Darryl: “You went to visit them?”
Robin: “I just feel I should do it… Though I am scared but I just feel I should…”
Darryl: “And?”
Robin: “They are ok… I guess after so long… We sat down and chatted about Tommy for a while…”

Darryl: “Well, it part and parcel of it… You learn from everything you do… There bound to be high and low in everybody life… If without this low, would you imagine being so strong for the relationship… No doubt it’s tough but it’s worth it, is it?”
Robin: “Yes… he has given the best I can ever wanted in a relationship… and I miss him so much…” Tears flowed down his cheeks…
Darryl: “We miss him too… Just let it out… You will feel better…” Darryl give Robin a hug and let him cry…
Robin: “I miss him, Darryl… I really miss him…”’
Darryl: “I know… I know…”
I guess this is what true love is all about… You will never be able to forget someone and even ignore the fact that he is no longer around… You are just deceiving yourself if you do… We don’t forget, we live through it… There will always be a part of this person in your life that you will remember to… Good or bad, this person remains in your life especially someone that you have truly love with all your hearts and souls…
