The dinner was actually quite light-hearted… They started to chat about all the fond memory of Tommy and on one occasion how he actually make a fool of himself when trying to pursue Robin by sending a bouquet to Robin colleague instead… These were the fond memory that Robin have and always will be part of him… It nice for both Darryl and Kenny to witness the strong bond between the two of them though they are now worlds apart…
After dinner, they send Robin back to the hotel to rest and excitingly planned for the itinerary for the next few days which include visit to the zoo, picnic at Botanical Gardens…
Both of them were on their way home discussing on the picnic menu when Kenny said something that disturb Darryl…
Kenny: “Dear…”
Darryl: “Yes…”
Kenny: “If I were to die tomorrow, will you miss me and remember me?”
Darryl: ‘Nonsense…”
Kenny: “Answer me…”
Darryl: “I am not going to answer because you will not leaving me ever…”
Kenny: “I say If…”
Darryl: “No IF!! And don’t you say anything of such again… I will never allow this to happen… Never… Understand!!! Never!!!”
Kenny: “OK OK... Don’t get so fierce…”
Darryl: “I’m sorry but I just cannot imagine how my life will be without you and I never will dare to imagine…”
Kenny: “I know… I’m sorry too to ask such a question… I guess I am just envy Tommy…”
Darryl: “Frankly speaking, I am too… It like I am living in their story, every single detail was remembered like it just happen yesterday… If only I have my own story to tell…”
Kenny: “You have… You have our story to tell… From how we met to we finally attached to living together to our anniversary and many many more to come…”
Darryl: “I don’t want to have any story to tell… I want you to be with me forever… And never leave me… “
Kenny: “I won’t… I promise I will never leave you…”
Darryl: “I won’t leave you either…”
Kenny: “But something I still confused…”
Darryl: “What is it?”
Kenny: “About why Robin didn’t tell you anything about Tommy...”
Darryl: “I’m not sure as well… Though I do know that he is attached during that time, I didn’t really probe further as I myself is unsure about myself… At that time, I know he was under lots of stress and didn’t really talk much… I did know he tried coming out but was very miserable… In fact, I scolded him for doing so without really thinking of the consequence…”
Kenny: “Why did you scold him for? He is doing the right thing…”
Darryl: “Dear, we have gone through this ourselves, remember? It’s not that easy for a traditional family to accept the news like that… And when I said traditional, I really mean it… Robin’s parents are the most rigid I have ever come across in my life… Their idea of relationship is heterosexual… Anything that is not in this category is not considered as relationship and they are expecting Robin to get married and have grandchildren… And definitely didn’t help Robin that even his relatives despise him… None of them accept him… That why I scolded for acting on impulse… He should think it through first…”
Kenny: “No wonder he didn’t tell you… Guess he must be thinking you are not supporting him as well… Sometime, everything will be change if one of you… Just one of you supports him…”
Darryl: “I do support him but just that i think he didn’t really think of the impact…”
Kenny: “Seriously, at that point of time he need your support more than anything else but instead you scolded him and in the process may make him think that you are not supporting his decision like everyone else…”
Darryl: “I…”
Kenny: “You know, dear… In our world to find true love is like finding a needle in the in the ocean… It may take years or it may not even happen… So when Robin really find Tommy, I am sure it a decision both of them made to come out as a couple… It not for you and me to scold or judge on them... We should support him and give him our best wishes…”
Darryl: “But…”
Kenny: “I have no finish… Just take us as a example, I am so ready to tell the world I am with you, my true love… But on the other hand, you are not and so we compromise to come out selectively… It’s a decision we make and it’s something we live by till the right time come… Or maybe it will not come at all… You know I used to have stupid thinking that the reason why you decided not to come out with me is because you are ashamed of me…”
Darryl: “Nothing of that sort!!! I never was ashamed of you…”
Kenny: “I know… It just a initial thought that I have but after time and time again, you introduce me as your partner, I realized that this is just how you work… Slowly and observed… At least to some people out there, I am your partner though to majority, I am a close friend but I am satisfied… So listening to Robin’s story today, I can’t help but to feel for him… So many times, he gave up due to pressure… But I guess both of them just meant to be together... That why they just become stronger and stronger after each breakup…”
Darryl: “I am sorry to make you think that way…”
Kenny: “Silly, not your fault… Maybe I like Robin just feeling insecure about myself... I mean look at you…”
Darryl: “What about me?”
Kenny: “So cute and handsome…”
Darryl: “Faintz… Where got?”
Kenny: “Well at least in my eyes, you are…”
Darryl: “You are too to me… The true love I can ever ask for…”
Kenny: “I know… Where else can you find such superior quality one…”
Darryl: “Erm…”
Kenny: “Anyway, I am really hoping that Robin will feel much better after today…”
Darryl: “I hope so too… But can see that he looked relaxed after visiting all the places and we do have fun too during dinner”
Kenny: “Ya… I never seem him so talkative before… He is always like stern and control…”
Darryl: “Well, that because he is talking about the love of his life and the time that spend together… And it is always nice to talk about your love one…”
Kenny: “Are you feeling the same when talk about me?”
Darryl: “Of course and I am very proud to talk about you…”
Kenny: “Me too…”
Darryl: ‘Hey, you want to get something to eat?”
Kenny: “No… Still full… “
Darryl: “Then let go home and sleep early… Tomorrow need to go marketing for picnic stuff…”
