Darryl & Kenny (Part 13 - What happen next?)

It came so unexpected… It was wrong but the feeling was nice…

“NO! NO!!... This is wrong!!!” Darryl thought and pushed Kelvin away

Thought it was just a touch on the lip but lasted like forever. Darryl turned away and dare not look at Kelvin…

“Sorry… I just couldn’t help it… I know I shouldn’t have… I’m sorry… Maybe I should just go… Sorry” Kelvin said and was about to leave

“Why don’t you just stay? It’s late plus you been drinking so it not really safe to drive…”

“But…Just now…”

“Don’t worry about it… we are just under the alcohol influenced…”

“Sorry… I shouldn’t have…”

“No sweat… Go to bed… Good night…”

Darryl went back to his room and closes the door… His heart is beating fast and a strange feeling arises…

“What is happening? Why am I feeling like that? What is wrong with me? I love Kenny… Stop thinking… And go to bed….” Darryl thought to him… But it turned out to be a sleepless night…

The next morning, Kenny came home with breakfast and Darryl wake up wash up and join him for breakfast. Kelvin was already at the dining room when Darryl was out…

Kenny: “Good Morning!” Darryl lean forward to give a kiss on Kenny…
Kelvin: “Good Morning”
Darryl: “Morning… Sleep well last night…”
Kelvin: “Yup… The bed was very comfortable in fact”
Darryl: “So I make a right choice…”
Kenny: ‘So how’s yesterday? Am so tired to even work on a weekend…”
Darryl: “It was ok; we just go GROSS-ceries shopping as indicated by him and then IKEA to get some stuff… Then dinner and then home to chill lor…”
Kelvin: “Yup… We were expecting you to be home already but yet… Hmmm”
Kenny: “I also wish to be home but since my promotion, my boss is like going crazy on me… Golf games, conference call, Big meeting, small meeting all have to go… I might as well live in the office… Save time travelling as well… Though he says I am off today, I can guarantee he will be calling me later… Poor me…”
Darryl: “I know it hard on you…”
Kenny: “I so wanted to quit my job and just be home and do nothing for a while before looking for a new job”
Kelvin: “But it still too early, maybe things will get better when u settle into your promotion… Now you could be just a little too unfamiliar with the role and job scope.. Or maybe your boss is just trying to let u get use to more thing before deciding what you can be entrusted with…”
Darryl: “Kel does make a point here… Why not just hang in there for a little longer and see how things goes.. If really not something you want, then quit…Don’t be impulsive.. Things may get better once you are use to it and know how to delegate downward…”
Kenny: “I guess so… Anyway, you two enjoy the breakfast… I really need to sleep…”
Darryl: “OK… I’ll finish up and head to work soon…”
Kelvin: “Me too…”
Kenny: “I’ll call you when I wake up..”
Darryl: “OK… Night dear…”
Kelvin: “Night!”

Kenny walked back to the bedroom and closed the door… A unspoken awkwardness immediately arise between Darryl and Kelvin the moment Kenny turn around.. Both of the remains silence throughout breakfast… But Darryl was kind of nervous as he worry that Kelvin will ask him about the kiss last night… But he did ask him

Kelvin: “Hey about last night… I am really sorry and shouldn’t have done that… But I just cannot control myself when I see you… You make my heart skipped the moment I lay my eyes on you… I don’t know why I had been suppressing this feeling for you until last night…”
Darryl: “Stop… Don’t say anymore… This is not the right time… I think you are still drunk from the wine last night…”
Kelvin: “No I am not… I am very sober and I know what I am doing last night… I didn’t sleep and I have been thinking of you and how I want to be with you… Though I know, it may be impossible but I just love you and I cannot control myself… I tried but it just grew deeper and deeper... I just cannot resist you…”
Darryl: “Why are you telling me? You shouldn’t have say anything… You shouldn’t have…”
Kelvin: “But I don’t want to hide it anymore… “
Darryl: “Please… This is not the right time…”
Kelvin: “Then when is?”
Darryl: “I don’t know but I know that I love Kenny… I don’t know why this sudden change in our relationship… But I don’t want this to stop us from being close… We have so much fun and laughter together… And all sudden, this might change… I don’t want to lose you as a friend… It is not as simple as 123… So can we not talk about this… Not here and not now…”
Kelvin: “Guess I will never able to talk about it again…”
Darryl: “Please… Kenny is inside… Right now. I really don’t think we should be talking about this… Please….”
Kelvin: “I understand… It all about Kenny…”
Darryl: “No it not all about him…”
Kelvin: “Then what?!”
Darryl: “Shhhhhhhhh….. Both of us need to go to work so can we just put this behind… OK I promise we will have a dinner tomorrow… Only both of us so that we can talk this over… OK?”
Kelvin: “OK… Tomorrow…”
Darryl: “OK… Tomorrow… I really need to go to work…and I din even eat my breakfast…”
Kelvin: “Sorry…”
Darryl: “It’s ok…”

While Darryl was driving to work, he just don’t know how to react to the confession from Kelvin… They are the best of friends and all sudden, everything might change… What will happen next? And how is he going to sort this problem out… He totally was not thinking straight…

“BANG!!!!!!”
