“SURPRISE!!!!!” and thunder loud claps were deafening Darryl’s ear when he walk into the room… Lights were then switched on and Darryl was caught by surprise by the amount of people in the room… There must be at 30 people in the room... All their close friends were there… Darryl was still trying to recover from the surprise when he saw a familiar person giving him a wink… “OMG!!!” Darryl let out loudly…It was Robin… Darryl went up to him and give him a hug…
Darryl: “When did you reach? Why didn’t you inform me?”
Robin: “Well, apparently your lover wants to keep it a secret… So I flew in this afternoon… In fact, I just touch down 1 hour ago and immediately rush here for you...”
Darryl: “OMG… I cannot imagine you are here…”
Robin: “Well, I will not imagine myself missing out this lovely union between you and your lover… Damn, he is a fast worker… You only like back for 1 week and you are married….”
Darryl: ‘Not married la… just a commitment I guess…”
Robin: “Ermmm… yes you are married… Look at the décor…”
Darryl looked up and saw a big banner saying “JUST MARRIED!!!” and he also realized the whole room has been redecorated. Kenny come from behind and hug Darryl..
Kenny: “Are you in amazed with me now?” He planted a kiss…
Darryl: ‘Yes… Very amazed… You can even ask my friend to keep it a secret… You are good…”
Kenny: “I will be much better later the night…” Giving the cheeky smile…
Robin: “OK OK… Got to go… Too much information…”
Kenny: “What! It normal ma… Hahaha”
Darryl: “Hahaha your head…”
Kenny: “Dear, why not you go change first and then Robin and me go arrange for the dinner? The clothes are on the bed…”
Darryl: “OK…”
Lot of congratulation and well wishes were given along the way to the bedroom. Finally, Darryl is in the room alone, he feels something not right. “Is this too much to begin with?” he thought to himself… It is not that he is unhappy about the whole celebration but somehow, it added a bit of pressure to him on this relationship… He sat on the bed and goes into deep thought…
Kenny: “Dear… Dear…” Darryl awaken from his thought…
Darryl: “Yup…”
Kenny: “You ok?”
Darryl: “Yup… Maybe just tired so take a rest…”
Kenny: “Sorry to put you through this..”
Darryl: “It’s not that... Don’t think too much… I’ll be out once I changed…”
Kenny: “I help you... “ Hugging him tightly…
Darryl: “No need. You go entertained the guest… I’ll be out soon…”
Kenny: “OK…”
The night was filled with laughter and more congratulation and conversation… Then after the dinner, someone actually suggested a toast to both of them and Robin was actually asked to make a speech… It was fun and entertaining… But Darryl was not really enjoying himself that much… He pulled Robin aside for a talk…
Robin: “What wrong?”
Darryl: “What?”
Robin: “I can see it from your eyes, you are not really happy about this…”
Darryl: “I am… But I just see that it too much too soon… I thought it was just me and him but didn’t expect he make it so big.. Don’t get me wrong, I’m happy that you are here…”
Robin: “I know what you mean… I was taken aback to when I arrived but then I guess he just happy to finally be with you after loving you secretly for the past say 20 years…”
Darryl: “I know… I am happy too… But today, it too overwhelmed I should say…”
Robin: “Are you regretting already?”
Darryl: “No… No… I am not regretting being with him… But I just…”
Robin: “Don’t need to say further… I understand…” Robin gives Darryl a hug…
Kenny: “Hey!!! Why are you hugging my lover?”
Robin: “Wah liao… Someone jealous wor…”
Kenny: “No lar… Just teasing you only… Dear, the guys are leaving already…”
Darryl: “OK, give me a min… Will be there with you…”
Kenny: “OK…”
Robin: “I guess you better go first… We chat later…”
Darryl: “OK…”
Robin: “Common cheer up… As long as you love him, it all it matter…”
