It was the 3rd day in the hospital already and finally after so such long time or so to speak, Kenny is finally recovering… Fever is down, rashes on his body are subsiding and blood platelets level back to normal… It really lifted the stone up from Darryl’s chest.
Today, Kenny’s parent came early with breakfast and Darryl need to leave for a meeting that thus he leave Kenny with the parents and headed home to change…
Back at home, while Darryl was getting ready for work… His mobile phone rings… It’s from Kenny…
Darryl: “Yes Dear… Missing me already…”
Kenny: “A bit… Just call to tell you that you may need to call the airline and hotel to postpone our trip… Mum demanded that we postpone it until I am fully recovered…”
Darryl: “Ok… I will call them later guess should not be a problem… But which day are we delaying till?”
Kenny: “Maybe to January or February… You check with them airline and hotel on the available slot and then we talk about it when you come over later…”
Darryl: “Yes, Mrs Tay… You wish is my command...”
Kenny: “Actually is Mum’s wish…. Hahahah”
Darryl: “Oh I miss that laugh… Finally!!! Yes…”
Kenny: “What?”
Darryl: “You don’t know how miserable I am without hearing your laugh or even smile for the past few days…”
Kenny: “Now you know… Anyway, you better go for your meeting…”
Darryl: “Yup stripping and changing now… Oops I’m naked… Do I make you horny baby?”
Kenny: “Hmmmm…. Got to go… ”
Darryl: “Damn! I need to work harder to seduce you…”
Kenny: “No need to… Already done… And you know the reason why…”

The moment he was back in office, he was literally bombarded by emails and voice messages and updates from his staff… Darryl was actually hoping to leave immediately after the meeting but looks like it not going to happen so he started his work and by the time he finished, it already 8pm… He quickly packed up and head out of the office…
He called Kenny and inform him that he just knocked off and will be heading home to change before heading to the hospital… Though Kenny asked him not to come by but Darryl insisted…
Darryl: “Sorry Sorry…”
Kenny: “It’s ok… You must be rushing like crazy…”
Darryl: “No… I was driving slowly…”
Kenny: “Look at the time… It only 9…”
Darryl: “Erm… OK… I did drive a bit fast because I miss you and worry for you…”
Kenny: “Ya right… if you do, you would have call to check on me lor…”
Darryl: “Sorry Sorry… I know it my fault that why I rushed as fast as I can liao…”
Kenny: “You better be careful lor… I don’t want to be a widow…”
Darryl: “You won’t… I promise...” He leaned forward and gives Kenny a kiss on the lips and Kenny pushed him away…
Kenny: “Wait the nurse come in…”
Darryl: “Let them see lor… I purposely put in A class so that I can have my way with you… Hahaha… Ever thought of doing it in the hospital… Hahaha…”
Kenny: “Crazy… Have you eaten your dinner?”
Darryl: “Change subject…. I don’t care… Answer me…”
Kenny: “Come let go have dinner…”
Darryl: “You sure you can walk around…”
Kenny: “Yes… I already got clearance from the doctor this morning and even accompany my parents for lunch… I just need to tell the nurse where I am going that’s all…”
Darryl: “You sure?”
Kenny: “Yes… so want to eat or not…”
Darryl: “Want to eat me up…Hahaha…”
Kenny: “Nonsense… Let’s go…” So they left the ward and head for the cafeteria…
At the cafeteria, they had their dinner and confirm the date of the France trip and Kenny said he will be making the call tomorrow in case Darryl forgets about it again… Then Darryl saw Lionel in the cafeteria alone… So he walked up to him and says hi… Within minutes, they walked back to Kenny and sat down…
Darryl: “Dear, this is Dr Lionel…”
Lionel: “Please… Just Lionel will do… Nice to meet you and good to see that you are doing ok…” Lionel extended his hands for a handshake…
Kenny: “Nice meeting you too… Thanks for the other night…”
Lionel: “I’m just doing my job… So when will you be discharging?”
Kenny: “Soon I guess…”
Lionel: “Good…”
Darryl: “Dear, Lionel just got engaged…”
Kenny: “Congratulation… So when will be the big day?”
Lionel: “Thank you… It will be on February 14…”
Darryl: “Valentine Day… How romantic…”
Lionel: “I think it just to ensure I will not forget any anniversary to come… Hahaha…”
Kenny: “Hahaha…. It does make sense…”
Darryl: “Yes it does… We tend to forget important dates like these… But I’m sure would not dare to miss one… It’s going to be dramatic… I think”
Kenny: “Hey!!! Rubbish… Trying to defame me is it… By the way, I am the nicer guy here…”
Lionel: “Hahaha… OK OK… You guys are funny…”
Darryl: “Really? Nobody told us that before… Usually only I’m the funnier one…”
Kenny: “No you are not… Stop misleading him... Anyway, so getting the wedding jitter yet?”
Lionel: “No time at all… She is basically running the whole wedding planning all by herself and I feel really bad that I cannot really do much because of my working schedule… I have postponed at least 3 times on the fitting and photo shoot to a point that she actually thought that I regretted proposing to her…”
Darryl: “So do you…. Hahaha”
Lionel: “No… I love her but it just my schedule…”
Darryl: “Just kidding…”
Kenny: “Don’t you have annual leave or marriage leave?”
Lionel: “Yes… but it just hard to leave my patients like that…”
Kenny: “Well I guess it about finding the balance between both… It never easy but as much as she may be understanding about your job nature… but it’s still a wedding we are talking about here… A union between you and her… So make time and be there… No point feeling bad… Nothing speaks louder than actions…”
Lionel: “You are right… I should do something about it…”
Darryl: “Yup you should… its fate that brings this union together but it’s up to both of you to make it work…”
Lionel: “I know…”
Kenny: “I am sure you can manage…”
Lionel: “Yes I will…”
They chatted for a bit longer before Lionel head back to the A&E to continue his shift while Darryl and Kenny headed back to the ward…
