Love Is (Part 10 - Supper)

Darryl was still shocked by the response that Kenny given to the waiter… “We are couple…” Somehow this sentence keeps lingering in his mind…

Darryl: “Why do you tell him that we are couple…?”
Kenny: “I didn’t not say… I only nod my head to agree..”
Darryl: “What difference does it make?”
Kenny: “Ermmm… You not happy is it?”
Darryl: “It’s not that la… It’s the consequence…”
Kenny: “What consequence?”
Darryl: “Did you ask him for supper?”
Kenny: “Yes…”
Darryl: “So it means that we have to pretend that we are couple throughout the whole supper right…”
Kenny: “Oh ya…”
Darryl: “So it will also means that we have be really intimate the whole supper right…”
Kenny: “Oh ya…”
Darryl: “So you tell me what consequence are we talking about…”
Kenny: “Ermmm…. Sorry I really din think of it…”
Darryl: “So how now….”
Kenny: “Ermmm… let me think…”
Darryl: “Haiz… no need to think already… here he come… Just pretend lor…”
Kenny: “So we call each other dear from now on ok…”
Darryl: “Do I have any other choice…”
Kenny smiled and introduced them…

His name is Mon and been working in DJ station for 2 years. At first Darryl thought that it will be there will be some language problem but fortunately Mon speaks fluent English…

Mon: “So Darryl, what do you like to eat?”
Darryl: “You decide… I have no idea where is what now…”
Mon: “OK… then maybe we go somewhere near…”
Darryl: “Anything…”

We travelled by cab to a night market for food… They sat down and Mon went to order the food…

Kenny: “Wah liao… I am like the lamp post for the 2 of you lor… Totally ignoring me…”
Darryl: “Well you suggested supper.. Not me… plus it normal ma since he interested in me… Maybe he wants to snatch me away from you lei...”
Kenny: “Hmmm… Where got so easy… You belong to me...”
Darryl: “What belong to you? I belong to myself…”
Kenny: “Ok ok.. he is back already…”
Mon: “Anything you guys don’t eat…”
Both Darryl and Kenny shook head. After a while the food came, it was quite a nice spread of food and it tasted very nice…

Kenny: “Dear, this taste way better than the food we had for dinner..”
Mon: “What you guys have for dinner?”
Kenny: “Oh we went shopping today and we packed dinner back to hotel to eat and relax before heading to DJ.”
Mon: “So how your trip so far?”
Kenny: “It was fun… it actually our first trip together as a couple so you can say that it is our honeymoon… Right, Dear”
Darryl: “Yes... It our 1st trip together as a couple… It was kind of nice… See we even buy matching t-shirt…”
Mon: “So loving… Wish i can have my own matching t-shirt…”
Kenny: “Sure you can, just buy it and give it to the person you love…” Darryl looked at Kenny…
Mon: “I wish I could but he is attached…”
Kenny: “Don’t be discourage... Love will find you one day…”
Mon: “I guess so…”

They chatted for a very long period of time and by the time they finish.. it again near 5am in the morning already… They bid goodbye and headed their separate way.. Mon however would like to meet up again but Kenny informed that they will be leaving in 2 days time so it could be quite difficult…

Mon: “Hey tell you what… I can bring you around Bangkok later the day… Anyway it my off day today…”
Darryl: “It ok lar… You should be resting anyway…”
Mon: “It ok… I’m ok… Can bring you some exciting places that I guaranteed both of you have not been before…”
Kenny: “Really?”
Mon: “Yup… I sure your friend that you come with the night before also doesn’t know about all these fun places…”
Kenny: “OK… See you at 2pm…” And he proceed to give him the address…

After they separated way… Darryl stared at Kenny… Kenny let out a loud "Oops"
