Darryl looks at Kenny while he is still sleeping on the bed… He felt a unexpected rush of happiness and he found himself smiling…
“This may be the best thing that is going to happen for both of us…” Darryl thought
And he is kind of happy that this time round, he did not hesitate about anything because everything just feels so right…. He is happy… Yes he is happy… He saw Kenny moving, immediately he turns away but still smiling… Kenny wraps his hand over Darryl… Darryl feels secured…
“Weird, I never feel such feeling before… Why today? But it feels great…” Darryl thought
“What are you smiling about the whole morning? Anything wrong with how I sleep…” Kenny spoke… Darryl was surprised that Kenny was awake… He pretends to still be sleeping… But no use… Kenny turns him over and gives him a kiss on the lip. It’s a kiss that Darryl couldn’t resist and he reciprocated back… Not sure what happen since last night but everything just feel so falling into their correct position in this stage of his life…
Kenny: “So what are you smiling at?”
Darryl: “Nothing…” and turn away…
Kenny: “Hmmm… Someone seems kind of shy today…”
Darryl: “No…”
Kenny: “But I wonder why so shy when we are both still naked in the bed…”
Darryl: “I’m going to shower…” He tried to get off the bed but Kenny pull him back and climb on top of him…
Kenny: “Why the hurry? It’s Sunday… We have to whole day to ourselves…” He lean forward to kiss Darryl but Darryl turns away…
Darryl: “No… We have lots of things to carry out today…”
Kenny: “Like what?”
Darryl: “First, I need to shower, and then go for breakfast then…. Hahahaha” Darryl started laughing…
Kenny: “Hey, you are not serious…” Kenny tickled him….
Darryl: “OK OK… Stop it… Hahaha… Stop it…”
Kenny: “So now… I want something bad…”
Darryl: “No… I need to shower…”
Kenny: “Not accordingly to what I feeling now… Little Darryl seems very energized… Hahahah”
Darryl: “Cos you sitting on it what… Anyway back to topic, we need to go shopping…”
Kenny: “Huh, still shop… Yesterday already cost a hole in the pocket already…”
Darryl: “No, was thinking that since u wanted to move in, then we need to get some basic stuff like more towels, toiletries and others ba… now also don’t know what to get…”
Kenny: “OK… Agree… Wait… What you mean I wanted to move in? You mean you don’t want me to do so…”
Darryl: “Well, you asked the question last night… Didn’t you?”
Kenny: “Yes… But I remember correctly someone was nodding his head happily as well…”
Darryl: “Erm…”
Kenny: “So I assume he is happy that I asked right?”
Darryl: “Erm…”
Kenny: “Unless he telling me, he regret again…”
Darryl: “Erm… You lean forward and I tell you…” Kenny lean forward, Darryl push him off and ran to the shower…
Kenny: “Hey… You cheat…” Kenny ran after him...
After shower, they headed out for brunch and some shopping at IKEA to stock up some kitchenware... While they are choosing some plates and cup, Kenny bumps into one of his colleague, Jay...
Jay: “Hey dude… What a coincidence to see you here…” Jay looked at Darryl and Darryl gives him a smile…
Kenny: “Hey… Didn’t expect to see you here too… So what are you shopping for?”
Jay: “Oh my future wife want to get some stuff for our new house… So I guess IKEA will come to everybody’s mind…”
Kenny: “I guess… hahaha… So where is your wife to be?”
Jay: “At the utensils area… Let me introduce you to her… Dude, you are the first one from work that gets to see her before the wedding next month…”
Kenny: “Erm… Then maybe I should wait till the wedding then… Hahaha”
Jay: “No, it ok… Give me a minute…”
Kenny: “OK…” Jay walks toward the fiancée and within minute, they walk toward Kenny and Darryl…
Jay: “Dude, This is Emily… My girlfriend till next month…”
Kenny: “Nice to meet you…” Kenny extended his hand for a handshake…
Emily: “Nice meeting you too…”
Kenny: “And this is my lover, Darryl…” Darryl was shocked by this introduction but he still extends his hand for the handshake…
Jay: “Oh hi… nice meeting you… So loving... Come shopping together…”
Kenny: “We have officially committed to each other…” Kenny showed him the Bvlgari ring…
Jay: “Hey, this is the ring that we go together to shop right…”
Kenny: “Yup…”
Jay: “It look really good… Wow, dude… You really got taste…”
Kenny: “I know… Hahaha…” Darryl was really puzzled by their conversation now but due to politeness, he still smile and acknowledge…
Jay: “OK dude, I guess we better get going… Oh next month, don’t forget my wedding dinner yah…”
Kenny: “Will sure be there….OK we also better continue our shopping as well…”
Jay: “OK… See you… Darryl, nice to meet you…”
Darryl: “Me too…”
Jay: “So we will see you two at the dinner next month… Bye”
After they bid goodbye, Darryl look at Kenny who apparently is in a happy mood but he is puzzled what all this is all about…
Darryl: “Dear, can I ask you something?”
Kenny: “I know what you going to ask… Well, Jay is a colleague of mine and he is getting married next month so I think he just invited Mr and Mr Chew which is us to attend the wedding together…”
Darryl: “Yes I know but then why do you tell him I am your lover… Aren’t you worry?”
Kenny: “Hmmm… What’s there to worry?”
Darryl: “Your work?”
Kenny: “Well, I’m gay and happily committed to the most wonderful guy that ever comes into my life so why do I want to hide… I am happy and I am tired to pretend that I am straight just so that people accept me… I just don’t want to stay in the closet anymore... So I tell myself last night that I am coming out of the closet to anybody I going to meet… And I am happy by introducing you as my lover… In fact, I’m proud…”
Darryl: “I can see that… But…”Kenny looked at Darryl and he realize that Darryl is not ready…
Kenny: “No need to say a word… Sorry, I will not do it again…”
Darryl: “No No… No sorry… I just wanted to say I am a bit caught off hand by the introduction though…”
Kenny: “You not angry?”
Darryl: “No… We are already a couple in our own circle of friends so if people ask then I guess there is nothing to be ashamed of anyway…”
Kenny: “Really?!”
Darryl: “Yup…” Kenny planted a kiss on Darryl’s lip.
Kenny: “I love you so much…”
Darryl: “Ok Ok… let go, people are staring... So shy…”
Kenny: “Hahahaha… Let’s go…”
Darryl: “Oh and for your information, it’s Mr and Mr Tay…”
