After Jay’s confession about his relationship with Kelvin, Kenny and Darryl were kind of worried that he will back out of the wedding… But he did get married 3 weeks later in a touching ceremony with Emily...
The ceremony was simple yet romantic…Sitting in the church hearing them exchanging the vow and the happiness on their face. Kenny and Darryl was relief that Kelvin pull the plug to end the relationship… Maybe it the really the best for everyone… They were at the reception area when they saw Kelvin approaching them…
Kelvin: “Hi…”
Darryl: “Hey, just arrived?”
Kelvin: “Nope… Was sitting at the back during the whole ceremony…”
Kenny: “Thought you not coming…”
Kelvin: “Yup but he called me yesterday and invited me to be around so I guess as a friend; I should attend as well…”
Darryl: “Doing ok?”
Kelvin: “You know what… I never feel better… Firstly, I do have hesitation of not coming but then I am glad that I came…”
Darryl: “Good for you…”
Kelvin: “Well like I said, it the best for everyone…else all of us will be suffering now… And I am back into the market for dating… So it a good thing for me right…. Hahaha”
Kenny: “Hahaha… Yup, back in the game for you… So anybody you keen here… Maybe can pull some string for you if I happen to know them…”
Kelvin: “Thanks but no thanks… I think I rather stay this way for a while and enjoy having fun dating… Hahaha... Relationship is too much for me at this moment…”
Darryl: “Just have fun dating then...” Laughter surrounded them
Kelvin: “I’ll catch up with you guys during the lunch… I need to send my well wishing to the bride and groom…” Kelvin then walked towards the newly wed…
Kenny: “Wow, he is really doing ok… I am impressed… It’s only 3 weeks and he already gotten over it… Amazing…”
Darryl: “Like he says it more of a relief for him…”
Kenny: “Maybe he doesn’t really love Jay…”
Darryl: “Hey let’s not do any assumption… It’s over for both of them… Look, they seem to be doing OK and happy for each other…”
Kenny: “True…”
Kelvin sat down with them during lunch and they chatted even more… A friendship seems to develop over the wedding... They exchanged number before going their separate way…
Once back home, Darryl give a call to Robin to arrange his flight back and accommodation. Initially, Darryl offered Robin to stay with them so they can at least accompany him but Robin rejected them because he doesn’t want to trouble them and inform that he has find a temporary place to stay in… So Darryl is now helping Robin to sort out the minor issue with the landlord as well to confirm the date Robin will be moving in… The call was kind of brief as Robin said that he will be heading for his treatment. Darryl was relieved that he is taking care of himself… Darryl bid goodbye to Robin and hang up.
Kenny: “So how everything?”
Darryl: “OK I guess… Just need to tell the landlord on when he is moving in that all and help him the pay the deposit...”
Kenny: “OK… So when he is coming in?”
Darryl: “Next Monday but still unsure on the flight timing yet…”
Kenny: “So I guess you are going to apply leave…”
Darryl: “Yup… Someone have to help him to move in right… Hahaha…”
Kenny: “Yes… Mrs Chew… Talking about that… Is your renovation of the house done up already?”
Darryl: “Huh? Renovation? What renovation?!”
Kenny: “Well, Mrs Chew… In case you forget, you told my parents that you are doing some renovation to the house and thus I can only shift in one month later…”
Darryl: “Oh… That… Apparently as you can see, I have no time for the renovation yet so I guess you have to wait a bit longer la…”
Kenny: “You are kidding right?”
Darryl: “Do I look like I am kidding? “Darryl pulls a serious face…
Kenny: “Oh… you are not kidding… So I will not be moving in after all…”
Darryl: “Yup… Didn’t you ever realize I never waned you to stay with me… It just a nuisance”
Kenny: “OK…”
Darryl: “I don’t want to lose my freedom over a simple tree like you… I have the whole forest out there…”
Kenny: “OK”
Darryl: “So maybe we should not stay together… Isn’t it better for both of us?”
Kenny: “Anything… I better get going already…”
Kenny stood up and walk out of the bedroom… Darryl got hold of him and turns him around…
Darryl: “Why the face?”
Kenny: “For obvious reason…”
Darryl: “Look at me…” Darryl held Kenny head and lifts it up slightly… “You should know I am just teasing you… I always wanted this to happen and of course I wanted you to stay with me as my wife…”
Kenny: “Wife your head la... And of course I know you are teasing me… Can’t you tell I am teasing you too… OMG!!! What did I do to deserve such stupid husband?”
Darryl: “Ah ha!!!.... See even you admit I am your husband… Hahaha”
Kenny: “Erm…. I mean… I mean… You always bully me”
Darryl: “Wah… Since when I bully you? I only love you with all my heart and soul…”
Kenny: “Mushy…”
Darryl: “But you like it right, Mrs Tay…” Kenny nodded and Darryl laughed…
Kenny: “We better get ready soon for the wedding dinner… We need to be there early to help him out…”
Darryl: “OK… What time we suppose to be there?”
Kenny: “He mentioned about by 6pm for the reception…”
Darryl: “So tedious to have a wedding dinner… So many things to do… From ceremony to lunch reception to dinner reception to Dinner… Just thinking of it already headache… Why can’t they just ROM and then that’s it?” Darryl got undressed and pop into the shower…
Kenny: “Well, I am not sure too but I do know that if I ever have the chance to get married, I will want to broadcast to the whole world too…”
Darryl: “I do agree but we can do it in a more simple way I guess…”
Kenny: “No doubt about it…”
Darryl: “By the way, you are already married… And you are moving in with me before the next weekend comes…”
Kenny: “Really?!”
Darryl: “Yup… Anytime when you are ready, Mrs Tay...”
Kenny: “I am always ready…”
Darryl: “Hahaha… Want to join me in the shower…”
Kenny: “Coming…”
After the shower, they got dressed in matching colour and style which is a White Suit, Baby Blue Shirt and Silver ties… Before they head out, Darryl said
“Are we a little overdress? We look like the groom… Hahaha” Kenny shook his head and they just head out together… When they arrived venue, Kelvin was already there with a handsome young man in tow…
“Look like someone bring along a date…” Kenny said…
They greeted each other and help out with the guest list and reception as well… Darryl and Kelvin were tasked by Jay to be the “receptionist” of the night while Kenny was tasked to be giving a speech for the newly wed later… And somehow or another, Kenny again sabotages Darryl by getting him to sing for the newly wed…
Darryl: “You just can’t help yourself right… Sure must make me sing”
Kenny: “Well, you can sing so why not? I am just being a proud partner…”
Darryl: “Ya… Always like that…”
Kenny: “Here… Choose the song from this list… I have run through the list for you already… Or should I say, these are the songs that I wanted to hear you sing…”
Darryl: “So why not you just choose it for me then since you already done so much…:
Kenny: “Actually I did… Just trying not to be a pushover… Hahaha… There you go… The song for me…”
Darryl: “You win already lor… Mrs Tay…”
Kenny: “You are welcome, Mr Chew… Go prepare and don’t you embarrass me… Hahaha”
Darryl: “What a great idea…”
Kenny: “Kelvin, I shall task you to ensure that he learn the song…”
Kelvin: “Yes, Mrs Tay… I will do all I can… Hahahah… You two are hilarious!!!!... Hahahaha” Darryl and Kenny laughed out loud…
Finally after a long reception, the dinner commence at 845pm… At 930pm, Kenny was invited to give the short speech on the couple or to be more precise, about Jay… The content was hilarious and funny… Darryl was surprised that Kenny can actually be a stand up comedian. After the speech, Kenny invited Darryl up on stage to give a speech before he sing…
“Thank you everyone, well, I must say that I am pretty honour to be standing on stage to share my thought about the couple with all of you… Though I have not known both of them for long but from what I saw today throughout the ceremony, Jay and Emily are really made for each other… You know how you find love in someone and you really hope that you can spend every single moment with him/her till death do you apart… I saw it in them… We made mistake along the way but we grow from mistake to make the relationship stronger and long-lasting… I am sure that in future no matter how hard the hardship is, how sad the situation is or how bad the mistake is, both of them will work out fine and this marriage is here to last and it going to last forever… Ladies and Gentlemen, pls put your hand together and welcome Mr and Mrs Jay Chong to the dance floor for their first dance as husband and wife….”
Music sounded and Darryl sings…

After he finish, he look at Kenny and saw him tearing up…. Maybe this song really touches him…. Without noticing, he still on mic, he blurt up… “I love you, Kenny…”
