The next day, Darryl still unable to get the sms and the phone conversation out of his mind… But there was really a point of time, the angel tells him that he should just trust Kenny that Jason was just a normal colleague but the devil tells him to find out who this Jason is… It a total conflict of what he should do… The more he listen the angel, the devil will just hit him even harder to find out the truth… In the end, the devil wins…. Darryl started to scheme up a plan… He called Kenny and asks him for lunch the following day…
The following day, time seems to go by very slowly second by second… No matter how busy Darryl was, he just couldn’t concentrate… He told himself that he need to know the answer but why is time going by so slowly today…
Finally its lunch time, Kenny picked Darryl up and went to Westin Stamford for a nice lunch… They chatted and updated each other of their work as it been kind of a long while they can sit down to chat… Most of the time, its Darryl who trying to avoid seeing Kenny… But somehow, this lunch brought of them even closer since grandma passed away…
This is the first time, Darryl opened up to Kenny about everything including the part where he deliberately avoids him… Kenny was upset in the beginning and the situation turn a bit hostile as Kenny was angry about Darryl’s action but holding grudge was too much a hassle for Kenny and he understand why Darryl is doing this thus after a while, the ice is once again melted…
It was a happy lunch for both of them until sms alert goes off…
*Beep Beep*... Kenny picked up his phone and read the sms… Looking at Kenny expression, Darryl is certain that it was from Jason…
Darryl: “Who is it? Your office?”
Kenny: “No… Just my friend…”
Darryl: “I c… He wants to meet up with you…”
Kenny: “Yup but I told him I was busy tonight…”
Darryl: “Are you?”
Kenny: “Yes… I want to spend the rest of my day with you… I want to go movie with you tonight… May I have the pleasure?”
Darryl: “Hmmm… Let me see my schedule…”
Kenny: “Don’t care… We going to movie tonight because I have already book the ticket”
Darryl: “You always do this…What if I cannot make it or I am still…”
Kenny: “You forget I can check your schedule from you know who…”
Darryl: “There is no way for me to reject you right?”
Kenny: “Well, you are my lover… Of course you can reject me but do you bear to do so?”
Darryl: “Of course… I….”
*Beep Beep*
Sms alert again… Kenny checks out the message but did not reply to it…
Darryl: “Not replying?”
Kenny: “Don’t bother…”
Darryl: “Sure?”
Kenny: “Absolutely…”
Darryl: “Think we should get back to work… It kind of late…”
Kenny: “OK… What time I should pick you up later?”
Darryl: “You pick me from home… I will drive the car home first…”
Kenny: “OK… Dear, promise me…”
Darryl: “What?”
Kenny: “Talk to me and don’t avoid me anymore… Can? I love you…”
Darryl: “OK… Let’s go”
Kenny drives Darryl back to work… Along the way, at least 2 more sms were received… Every time the sms alert goes off, Darryl heart skipped once as he know that it was Jason but yet Kenny seems a bit annoy by the sms… This drove Darryl suspicion even deeper as he is very sure that there is something on between Jason and Kenny… Inside Darryl’s mind, the devil is laughing out loud…
It’s 6pm and Darryl receives a sms from Kenny saying that he is already on his way to Darryl place and will wait for him at home. Darryl quickly packed up and leaves the office… Just then, another sms came in… It was from Kenny again but the sms read
“Stop contacting me. It’s over already. So get over it and don’t hold on to the past…”
Darryl was puzzled by this sms but he is sure that this sms is not meant for him… So he replied “Think you sms the wrong person...”
Within seconds, Kenny replied “Sorry, enter your number by mistakes…” The content of the sms coincide with what Kenny has said before…
The angel tells Darryl that what Kenny said might be true, that is why he sending sms to the friend to ask him to get over it… Darryl begins to believe that Jason was just a friend… But the devil thinks otherwise, he say that Kenny was just trying to end the fling with Jason but Jason refused to do so... What is what? The conflicts between these 2 feelings are just too much… Darryl is unsure of what to do… But in the end, the urge to find out seems stronger…
“I guess I just need to find out the answer so that I can really put this to rest…” Darryl says to the angel… Angel finally agreed but tells Darryl not to go overboard with his actions as it may jeopardize the relationship… Darryl promised…
